This is quite frankly the worst place I have ever stayed. I assume that we had one of the worst rooms and only hope that there are other much better ones otherwise the place should be condemned or the prices drastically reduced. The room had...More

"Oh Dear " indeed! If this lady's review of the Hotel was in any way reflective of the state of the Beaufort, no one would stay , never mind return! Which is certainly not the case. We are often completely full and we have many...More

In considering a stay, one must keep in mind that the building is nearly 400 years old. It is, accordingly, by no means perfect. The rooms are challenging to reach with heavy luggage, but the atmosphere is interesting. The bathrooms are clean and the rooms...More

I'm glad you had a pleasant experience at the Beaufort. We try hard to please our guests who normall reciprocate with kind remarks in spite of the lack of lifts to the upper floors. A listed building has some disadvantages! Many thanks Michael

Thanks for this positive review. As the oldest hotel in Wales and being a listed building there some minor disadvantages but location is ideal for visitors and value for money Many thanks Michael

Food was fine...service was terrible. If the waitress not being able to crack a smile wasnt enough..waiting nearly an hour and a half for our main course should have given us the heads up. Fortyfive minutes to get a starter? Awful service.
