Stayed overnight on drop in availability after another establishment had made an error with our booking. Ashleigh was more than helpful and a great host. Room was excellent as was breakfast which had a choice of freshly prepared fruit and croissants for my wife. Good location, quiet but within easy reach of Upper Town with its bars and eateries and...

Set in a quiet residential area yet only a few minutes walk to the town. Good breakfast and friendly Australian host. Good location for visiting local Peak district attractions and Buxton's fine pubs and tourist spots.

We were looking for a base to explore the Peak District. Buxton seemed a perfect choice with its own attractions and infrastructure. Reviews of The Netherdale helped sway our choice of accommodation. We weren't disappointed. Ashleigh is a great host ably assisted by Berry his blue Staffy. Room 2 was clean and comfortable and the warmer room when the sun...

Everything that the previous reviewers said is absolutely true. Room ,bathroom, breakfast and location was perfect, BUT I booked many months ahead to make sure that I get a good room as suggested by Tripadvisor. On my booking with Booking.com it actually said that I want a room with a view. The way I was treated by the owner was...

The Netherdale Guest House is a family run business within easy walking distance of Buxton and the Poole's Cavern. The owners are currently away and the guest house is being run by their son Ashley, who is doing a remarkable job running the place almost single handedly. Ashley is very friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. Ashley...

Netherdale is a great guest house, we felt very welcome. We had a lovely room that catered our needs. It was well decorated and the bathroom was very sleek and modern. Our room also had a lovely view. Breakfast was lovely, there also was plenty to choose from. The staff were very friendly and aimed to please when ever the...

Having booked a room for one night, I was taken ill and was unable to make the trip until the following day. Trevor and Chris immediately transferred our booking to that following day, at short notice. The welcome we received was great. The room was ideal and the breakfast superb. Thank you Chris and Trevor.

We stayed at Netherdale for one night to attend an opera during the summer and on our way up to north Yorkshire. The initial welcome might have felt to be a little bit cold as one of the previous reviewers has already written, but it is presumably ascribed to the reserved character of our host, since the following morning he...

Location is fantastic, short walk from centre. Very welcoming. Room was great, spacious and fresh. Bathroom was lovely and spacious too. Breakfast was great, even noticed I didn't have any meat at breakfast and offered a veggie sausage which I accepted. Even let us keep our salads for our lunch the next day for our hike in fridge next to...

The guest house is about a 15 minute very pleasant walk across the town from the train station. The main Market Square with a good selection of pubs, shops and restaurants is only 5 minutes walk away. The location is a very leafy, quiet, residential part of town. The main shopping street (pedestrianised) is less than 10 mins walk away....
