Called in on the way back from Manchester. The staff were very friendly, although the restaurant was full they found a table in the bar area for us to eat. The food was lovely and hot and we had a nice evening We would recommend stopping here, it may be worth booking in advance though

Didn't actually manage to eat here but please bear with me, I think our experience is still worth a mention... We called in to this pub one evening whilst visiting the local area. The bar and restaurant area were very quiet, only a handful of customers on a Friday night. We were initially told by a younger member of bar...

I wouldn't normally complain but the rudeness of the new owner or manager and how she spoke to my family I had to write a review straight away, I visited here last Sunday on our way home, wasnt sure if it was open as only one car on car park, went in to ask if they were serving food, was told that...

A family guaranteed to spoil the atmosphere in a pub. The complainant writer admits allowing a toddler to wander around the place whilst clutching chips and leaving residue on the furniture, bar and the floor. A screaming child out of control reflects the absence of parenting skills whilst expecting the general public and businesses to tolerate their ignorance.

Called in for our evening meal was made very welcome, spotlessly clean and the food was great large portions, piping hot and delicious. Would definitely visit again the next time we are holidaying in the area. Would have no problems in recommending our friends and family to pay a visit to the Jug and Glass Inn.

Brilliant welcoming, friendly hosts. Inn is under new management and Yvonne and Andrew are great! Food is delicious, accommodation is great. We stayed in room 2 which has a bath with overhead superb powerful shower. Bed was so comfortable. Tea, coffee, bottled water and tasty biscuits in room. Inn and accommodation spotlessly clean. Stunning views, great location. Will stay again!

We were very fortunate to find a room here when the accommodation for our weekend away with friends fell through at the last minute. The room and en suite were clean and nicely decorated and the landlady and landlord were friendly and very obliging; they even kindly agreed to give up their free time to give us a lift home...

An attractive old pub with lots of character. The new management are very welcoming and the food is top notch. Portions are generous and very reasonably priced. The food was served very promptly. Overall a really great lunch and we'll definitely go back.

We are staying in Ashbourne and were looking for somewhere to eat when we came across this Inn, the landlady was really lovely, gave us a warm welcome, it's quite a small menu but the food is amazing, really good sized portions and reasonably priced. Its so good we've booked to go back for Sunday lunch tomorrow.
