Driving around the hills, I was hoping to find a pub with traditional food. I got the roast beef dinner. It was served piping hot and hit the spot. The prices were reasonable. Glad I ate here and would recommend it.

In fact I raised several glasses of the guest beers during our stay. Early in the week the pub is closed to passing trade but the owners open up the bar and restaurant to staying guests. Our meal was hearty fayre and well priced , after which we slept soundly in our comfy beds and enjoyed our breakfasts hugely. We'd...

When we arrived the bar was closed which was a disappointment and as there were no opening times on the Tripadvisor entry we did not know this. It also advertises as 'full English breakfast' as £7.50 when really is should make it clear breakfast is £7.50 whatever you have which we found disappointing. Having said that we had a pleasant...

Visited pub whilst staying in the local area with friends. On entering the pub we received a warm friendly welcome. The menu offers a wide variety of choice to suit everybody. The food was served piping hot and well worth the money. I can recommend the steak pudding, but make sure you are hungary because the portion sizes are generous....

We stayed for Friday and Saturday night recently. The room was very good - well maintained. furnished, and comfortable. The bath took a long time to get a usable depth, but the shower was very efficient. I think there may have been a hiccough in the kitchen on the Friday night. We ordered relatively late (7:50 ish), but the food...

If you are looking for reasonable food at reasonable prices then this is the place for you. We didn't stay at the bed and breakfast but rather are in the pub. The food portions were generous, particularly pudding. We enjoyed a 3 course meal each with several drinks for under £45.00. It's certainly not a gastro pub but it was...

We found this Inn by accident and we're ever so glad we did. The food is traditional English fare with a regular menu and daily specials. Plenty of choice and all reasonably priced. Dinner was cooked well and hot. Service is good. The staff were very pleasant. Handily located on the A515. We'll definitely be coming back next time we're...

Booked on for 6 of us whilst Glamping in the area. We had a warm welcome and unbelievably great meal. How they do it for the price is beyond me. Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed. We will return to stay in the Hotel, because if the food is this good, the hotel must be amazing

After walking 1 mile to have a meal there we was so disappointed. it states "Home cooked meal" Well! we do not class frozen veg partly cooked so they are watery and rubbery anything like fresh veg from other places and the suet pudding which had been microwaved was so overdone it wasn't all edible. Will not be going back!!...
