We stayed here for a couple of nights. When I heard that they only have a continental breakfast I was a little disappointed. However - when you have a choice of more than 30 cereals, nearly 50 choices of jams and toppings for toast then you have a very different type of continental breakfast. They also offer a few hot...

6 of us stayed at the Buckingham for a walking weekend . Our rooms were adaquate and clean . The real ale was interesting and well priced. The breakfast was not great but OK . Most of the staff were oblidging and friendly but I think the girls in the bar should definitely sue their charm schools. Overall you got...

Fantastic location in the town opposite the beautiful park. Great car parking. Good bar with excellent real ales plus daily happy hours so able to get a pint for £2.25. The Demi Moore room (nine pictures of her) on the top floor was warm and comfortable. Sky Tv available in the pub and bedroom was a nice touch. The public...

We had the Jodie Foster room, a junior suite, which was a great room for the price paid. That, however, is the only plaudit for the hotel! We stayed on the Easter Monday evening, and clearly that was an inconvenience! Their "Real Ale Bar" only had two of the six pumps going after I had the last decent pint out...

We booked this hotel at the last minute as we wanted to stay somewhere on the edge of the Peak District, within travelling distance of Oldham and at a reasonable price. The hotel is in a large and elaborate old building in a quiet road adjacent to the Pavilion Gardens, within a few minutes walk of the shops, pubs, restaurants...

My partner booked a suite at this hotel for an overnight trip away. We parked easily and checked in fine, staff were helpful and friendly. Our 'Jodie Foster' suite was clean, comfortable and really spacious. Super king size bed, separate lounge / TV area and a large bathroom with 2 sinks & a roll top bath. The hotel is perfectly...

After getting a brand new VW Camper Van gashed en-route & a white knuckle drive through dense fog over The Moors, what a relief it was to get to such a wonderful & huge suite at this hotel. Its very warm and the monster-size bed is so comfortable. We are relaxing gradually in such lovely surroundings including views of park...

We stayed here for three nights recently. The hotel is quirky to say the least! Our room was huge with a seating area and a huge bed. The bathroom was huge with two sinks, the only problem was that it didn't have a shower. There was a large stand alone back which would probably taken hours to fill with a...

This hotel occupies a building that is well over 100 years old and right in the heart of Buxton. The price for a large, twin bed room is very reasonable for the area and those who complain that it is a little run down are missing the point (or have unrealistic expectations). There is ample parking and the breakfast (a...
