We've stayed at the Queens Head twice now and will definitely book it again when we next visit Buxton. The accommodation in the annexe is very good - modern and comfortable and there is secure parking - the breakfast is good too. We parked the car for two days and travelled around by foot, bus and train and it was...

We booked the Queen's Head because we wanted to be central in Buxton and we fancied trying the local pubs. We expected to compromise on accommodation for this. When we pulled up outside, there were some suspect looking guys smoking outside and the place did not look at all welcoming. How wrong we were. On entering, first we received a...

The front of the Queens Head Hotel does not look very appealing ( looks a little tired ) .but don't be fooled the accommodation is second to none .Recently converted stables have been done to a very high standard . .We had an excellent good nights sleep. Very friendly & helpful staff. Good selection of beer & sports bar.

We stayed here in March 2017 for a 2 night break. We cannot recommend the place enough. The pub is on the high street as you drive into buxton, with a tiny car park behind (although they manage to squeeze a good few cars in). The rooms are all behind the pub and are not at all affected by noise...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights Fri/ Sat . Firstly the rooms are good , clean and nicely finished - no problems at all. The staff were brilliant , friendly and helpful . Breakfast was good , although as noted in other reviews , the pub itself is a little tired . Car parking was awkward and...

Don't be fooled into thinking that the accommodation might be a dark, poky room above a pub - because it's FAR from that. Our room was modern, clean and spacious, with an ensuite bathroom with 2 basins and a roomy shower, and a private entrance from the car park. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and the breakfast was...

We booked this hotel due to attending a 40th birthday in Buxton. The hotel was ideally placed right in the heart of Buxton and not too far from the party venue. The rooms appeared to be very new, nice and clean, décor was neutral and unmarked. Furniture was all matching and suited the room. Bed was a double but 2...

The rooms are at the back of the pub and appear to have been recently refurbished to a high standard. The beds are comfortable with good quality bed linen whilst the bathroom has been finished to a high specification. The pub itself, I feel, needs a refurbishment and was absolutely packed in the evening which resulted on is going to...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your stay. The pub itself is very popular and does tend to get quite busy in the evening, so I'm delighted this was not a problem in terms of getting back to your room, nor did it disturb your sleep. Excellent Accommodation, Very Comfortable bedroom and good facilities. Lovely breakfast in the morning. When I arrived on Sunday evening needing somewhere to stay and saw the interior of the pub, I did not expect to see such a lovely modern bedroom. Thank you to all and thanks for the dry weather!
