You know what to expect with Premier Inn. Nothing flash but clean and tidy, and decent breakfast. We stayed on a busy bank holiday Monday and the hotel was staffed sufficiently to cope. The only slight annoyance was a gugling aircon system that couldn't be turned off - would only trouble a very light sleeper like myself.

We treated ourselves to a premier plus room overlooking the carpark and found it very good .The hotel is next to a service station that has a tesco express which is very convenient. We found the Premier Inn is in a good location and a short walk into town .The staff here are very friendly and efficient clearly enjoying their work.I would recommend this hotel as we have enjoyed our stay here.Thankyou to all the staff.

A reasonable visit to the hotel. We’ve used the chain on many occasions in the last 12 months and this one was fine if not on the top of our list. The usual quality comfy bed and sleep. Very clean with good air conditioning. Car parking was easy to access and use. Breakfast was ok if a bit haphazard on the second morning as they were staffed. Pleasant people as usual. Sound proofing in this hotel not as good as in others! Creaky floor boards - people walking above but did not stop us falling asleep 💤 ok.

Everything was as expected for thr upgraded Premier Inn room. Apart from no still water available and no coffee pods available. This was blamed on delivery problems. Staff were up front about this. Offered free desserts as compensation.

Good place to stay, good location and good meal deal, worth doing. Good food In restaurant, friendly efficient service but better to have room away from the road, can be noisy early morning, avoid 202 particularly.

Free car park, plenty of spaces mid-May. Everything worked in the bedroom and bathroom. Clean. Competent, friendly and helpful staff. Good food and drink and value for money meal-deal. 7 or 8 minute walk to the town centre.

An excellent Premier Inn. Room was spotless, quite large for a Premier Inn, good shower and plenty of power points. Good wifi. We had breakfast each day and this too was very good, enough choice for vegetarians and both the hot & cold buffets were kept fresh. Staff were lovely, very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended.

This is our second visit to this Premier Inn and as always a lovely stay. The reception staff and waitress are always helpful. The chef was very busy doing breakfast service on Saturday but managed to cope very well.

We had booked in to stay for 7 nights. We left after 5 - would have been 4 but we were struggling with the idea of losing so much money. We've stayed at quite a few premier inns and enjoyed our stay. This one not quite so much. We were told upon entering the hotel that the rooms were not made up daily but we could ask each day if we wanted our rooms made up. The reception wasn't manned full time so had to ring and wait. The staff were friendly and do a good job; I'd suggest they are perhaps understaffed? Or it atleast looks this way. We asked for our room to be cleaned most days but we felt very awkward asking. The room was just uncomfortable. For us, the beds were uncomfortable and pillows very hard. The air con did kind of work but it was either too cold or too warm but the 'muggy-ness' of the room was just a bit much. We had a room on the 1st floor, facing out on to the Tesco Express. The window is sealed closed and there's no natural ventilation. This is the first premier inn we've stayed where the acoustics have been terrible. You can hear people walking around on the floor above. I know a bit of a strange comment (I work in construction & so unfortunately I'm maybe a bit more susceptible to noticing certain things) but the finishes in the room are really poor. Paint is cracked, seals in bathroom have come away from the units, the damp has bubbled the paint in places, for some reason there are screws that have been poorly painted over in the ceiling but are not concealed at all, there are cuts in the carpet around the skirting that look unprofessional. Whilst this didn't ruin our visit or anything, we did spend £600 for the week and would have perhaps expected a bit better - comparing to the fact we've rented old cottages that have been better quality for less money, for example. I don't know when the premier inn was built but the finish isn't great. The 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts we had were nice. Again, seemingly short staffed but also again, the staffing tending to us were great. I would say if you're stopping over night, it's alright. If you're staying for a holiday as we were, I'd look elsewhere. Based on our sleep quality, excessive noise and room quality, we'd rate it 'OK'. But comparing to other premier inns we've stayed, it doesn't quite hit the mark.

Only one issue, which was the heating… in a family room with 2 adults and children, the thermostat not working made for an extremely uncomfortable nights “sleep” Front desk were made aware on multiple occasions that the thermostat wasn’t working and the temperature was excessive. With 17 hours driving over 2 days I was looking forward to a good nights sleep and rest as previous visits have been. I’d be happy to alter this review if the issue can be resolved
