Stayed in one of the chalet rooms. Spacious accommodation and spotlessly clean. Breakfast freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Much better than any of the typical chain hotels

Weekend break with friends, ideal base to explore the area being easy to find and access. Friendly welcome and all the rooms were clean and comfortable, nicely set out which isn't always easy when converting an older building. Some of our friends stayed in the main building and others in purpose built annex behind the main building, equally clean and...

We had a family room, which was spacious, clean and well equipped. Our only disappointment was that the en suite facilities, which contained a shower were small for our family of 5. The staff were fantastic. They provided us with local information and kept our young son entertained so we could enjoy the lovely cooked breakfast.

I had no hesitation in recommending Fairlawns as have situated friends there before over a period of maybe 20 years. None of them have ever had a bad word to say about any aspect of the welcome, accommodation, or...
