Briefly, good parking at hotel, rooms dated, my room close to main road & noisy all night. Windows that old & in need of repair very drafty. Expensive at over £90 excluding breakfast! It is well located though very close to town centre.

Yes the place is a bit dated in terms of decor and if all you've ever stayed in is a new build Premier Inn, you might not be impressed, but this place has charm. It's spotlessly clean. All the staff without exception are very pleasant. My room was fine. There was an annoying nightclub nearby playing loud music until late...

Dont be fooled by the outside The hotel is in a nice location but it is old and the rooms are poor. My room had two old single beds which were uncompfotable and the room was mall and cramped. THe decor was old and for £100 I would hvae been better in a Travellodge/Premier in n where things are new...

I attended a Sewing weekend and was so impressed with the venue. The room we were in was big enough and convenient. We were served a buffet lunch on Saturday where the choice was huge and the food was delicious. The evening meal was three courses. We were all given rooms on our own and I was happy with the...

This building was a refreshing change from the modern build hotels we have been staying in recently. Big wide sweeping staircase, proper old fashioned Reception desk with excellent service fromm all who we met throughout our stay. A reasonable amount of car parking around the back of the hotel, which is a refreshing change for a town center hotel these...

Good for a business stay very well looked after by the staff. I did not eat here. The staff could not have been more helpful even the man on room duty in the morning offered to carry my bags. Reception also sorted me some peppermint tea for the morning

Stayed one night here, first floor room overlooking the road. Room was clean and tidy, good size too for a standard room. Everything you needed. Ok, so the floors are a bit uneven, but it's an old building and we were out for a night on the town anyway. Arrived back in the early hours and porter let us in...

This hotel has all the charm and atmosphere of an old aged pensioners retirement home! Rooms were smaller than most hotels - and getting to them took some negotiation - especially with heavy suite cases. Car parking was good, staff were willing & friendly and breakfast was OK.

Five minute walk from the town centre. A very nice hotel with ample parking. Ten minute walk to railway station. From the initial greeting on arrival through to departure I was made to feel welcome. The room was comfortable, the only downside was the road noise especially during the night, emergency vehicles going up and down the road. Myself and...
