Well it's very old! The stairs moan and groan, the windows seem to be original & it's oldie worldly. Very clean and in a great location. A couple of areas could do with tidying up, old carpets, the entrance from the rear carpet looks a bit unloved. That said, I would stay again.

This is a very attractive, quite good quality hotel. The bedrooms are comfortable and pleasant and the bathrooms spotlessly clean and in good running order. The bar is attractive and restaurant. Rooms over the garden are very relaxing. However the menu is limited and the food fair to average on balance. Wake up calls and room service is prompt. Reception...

Breakfast very good . Was a bit disappointed with Banbury itself but a damp March Sunday pm is perhaps not the best...

Just home after staying 3 nights at the hotel for our 45th wedding anniversary. Creaking floorboards and old furnishings all added to the great time we had. Hotel ideally located for the shops in Banbury. Our room was at the back of the hotel so no noise from the traffic. Loved everything about our stay and look forward to staying...

Stayed here during a business trip in a quiet room towards the rear. Very large comfortable room with an excellent breakfast included. Full English breakfast or several choices made to order. Value for money.

We stay here regularly when visiting family, we prefer to be in the old world character area of the hotel and have found all bedrooms we've been in of an acceptable standard. If you are even slightly disabled, make sure your only on 1st floor, the twisting stair flight to the upper floor is non-negotiable . Staff are very helpful and...
