Stayed for two nights as we had a family party locally. We had a double room and as mentioned it could have done with a bit of minor repair work, particularly in the bathroom. A few broken tiles and missing slats on the blinds let it down a bit. That said, the room was nice and clean, warm, and had...

Driving up to this hotel the exterior appears as a beautiful old building but that is where the beauty ends. It does have the potential to be stunning but sadly is looking very tired and needs updating to bring it up to scratch. We have stayed here many times as it's close to family but I think we will look...

Needed somewhere cheap to stay near worthing for business, arriving late and leaving early so didn't need anything fancy. Hotel did the job. Accidentally booked the single room, turned out to be fine - no windows as mentioned earlier - but it was dark the whole time there so didn't notice! Everything nice and clean. Decent amount of space, good...

Disappointed with the room. As a solo traveller on this trip, I booked the single room. Proportionately its more expensive of course when the charge is per room....And to then get a room without a window (skylight but no outside view - probably the only room in the hotel without a window) was more than disappointing - especially as I'd...

Just a night here. I was in a single with no window just a sky light which could not be opened. Very claustrophobic. parents were in a nice twin. Bathrooms were spacious and adequate as were the amenities in rooms. Cleanliness was fine. Breakfast was rather basic and poorly prepared. Also strong smell of disinfectant present as it is same...

We had two nights here for a family wedding. Two rooms, a double for us and a twin room for the kids. We had four-poster, it was grand, but the general impression was dark and dowdy, clean, but in in need of minor repairs and general updating. The kids were in a room directly below but a long walk away....

Went for midday lunch. By no means full but staff seemed to find customers an irritation and service was unwelcoming and inattentive. The server at the carvery bar was miserable, indeed no one smiled, asked if everything was okay or bothered to come near unless really necessary. Had to seek out staff to pay as were left so long without...

Email from hotel confirmed available for private party on selected date, told them I definitely wanted to book, booked band, started to tell guests, went to visit and sort out payment - my date was not available and never had been. Asked about second function room advertised on website - couldn't be used because not enough staff. Total let down...

Have always liked this Restaurant but were disappointed with our visit today. The food was usual Carvery standard but service left a bit to be desired. What really annoyed us was the difference between advertised price at roadside and that actually charged. In addition there was no indication anywhere that VAT would be added - with every other restaurant of...

I'm sorry you were disappointed with your visit. the price at the bottom of the drive is a from price meaning that is the lowest price ever offered. The vat is included in the price it is broken down on the receipt so that those people who are eligible can claim the cost back easily.

We visited the restaurant last night for a get together for Christmas before it go too busy. There were 10 of us and we all paid for the carvery. We've always had a great meal but am disappointed to say that the cauliflower was more than aldenti, Yorkshire puddings were also rather hard and stuffing was very dry. When we...
