Arrived at about 9pm, checked in at the pub adjacent. Poor 4G signal in the rooms but friendly staff let me sit in the pub to get my internet stuff done, and end of the day meant cheap pints too which was very nice. I had the bunkhouse to myself - very comfortable too. Shower tokens allowed plenty of time...

We stayed at the bunkhouse for one night over the May bank holiday and were really impressed. The bunkhouse was immaculately clean, with wonderfully comfortable beds. The room we stayed in had 4 bunk beds with each being cleverly separated by a wall and curtains for privacy. Everything we needed was provided - including hot showers, soft clean towels, and...

Brilliant ! We, wife, daughter and myself, booked into the bunkhouse as - how bad could it be for only £20 each a night? So glad we did, staff were really friendly, pub/reception on a Saturday early evening had a comfortable and safe feeling atmosphere. We were able to order an "all day breakfast" on a pick and mix basis...

Not only is the location of this hostel great for finding day trips for hiking/walking in dartmoor (im not talking 'tourist attraction' hiking, there isnt massive signs everywhere, i actually encourage you to use a map.😊) but the hostel is extremely clean, quiet and cozy! When we arrived we walked into a small home-town bar and were greeted by the...

The rooms were a good size and the beds really were comfortable as commented by most of the group. Breakfast in the morning was served at...

Our small group of pensioners visiting Tavistock called in here on the off-chance and were warmly welcomed. It is a traditional small town pub which has been recently taken over by new managers who seem to be planning all sorts of entertainment. They operate a 'Happy Hour' which lasts for four hours 3pm until 7pm and have live music every...

I've stayed in quite a few bunkhouses now and the set up in this one was excellent. 8 bunks to a dorm with privacy curtains, your own shelves and light. There is also a really good drying room and the staff are happy to help. Beds were comfortable, especially compared to other bunkhouses where I tend to find the mattresses...
