Stayed in the 'Priory' apartment. This appears on first inspection to be a very nice and well appointed apartment, ideal for a restful getaway. However I slept in the bed on the mezzanine floor. The 'safety' lights stay on 24 hours a day and disturbed my sleep. Then on 3 nights I was disturbed by an HGV vehicle reving up...

Stayed with 6 others Xmas 2016. The building is medieval and looks beautiful. Our accommodation was set over 3 floors, a triple and double room on the top floor separated by a bathroom and shower. There is an on suite double on the 2nd floor along with a stand alone toilet. There is a large living room, kitchen and dining...

We occupied the Priory apartment and were very pleased with the accommodation. It was comfortable, clean, spacious, had a useful cupboard for outdoor wear and space to put our fishing clothes, boots and gear we did not want to leave in car, plus a kitchen for us to cook breakfast and evening meals. The staff were exceptional and could not...

Attended a family wedding here yesterday, perfect location, perfect venue, perfect food, perfect staff - what more can I say? A little more lighting outside would be beneficial when leaving in the dark.

We stayed in the Cider Mill Apartments at Flanesford Priory for three nights in July. It's actually a free-standing cottage of historic significance. It's set apart from the main Priory building and very private. The kitchen table is crafted out of the original mill stones that they are not allowed to move. Spacious, unique, comfortable, with a giant, private patio...

What a fabulous place to stay always so clean comfortable and relaxing. Close by wonderful walks, canoeing kayaking, mounting biking through boar filled Forest of Dean . Seen so many deer already. Local pubs and inn food is really good. The Priory can be booked for any number of nights you take your pick. NO SMOKING establishment. Everything a family...

Lovely venue. A bit remote. Think that they could provide a pint of milk, butter and loaf of bread on arrival- would b a good gesture. Beautiful views and nice rooms. Dodgy stone steep steps to upstairs cottage. Overall good experience no pub within walking distance for a good meal and drinks.

Visited for the funeral of a friend. Beautiful venue, right in the heart of the country next to the river. Lovely crisp winter morning, staff and service all great. Food lovely. Home made sandwiches, cakes, teas and coffee plus lovely biscuits. Recommended.

We stayed in the Courtyard apartment lovely compact space that in no way felt cramped. Our reason for choosing Flanesford was proximity to a wedding reception we were attending but we were delighted with the apartment and would have loved to stay longer-very well appointed with everything you would require.

Attended a wonderful wedding reception at the Priory. The service and food quality were excellent and the attention to detail, exceptional. The accommodation on site was comfortable, clean and fairly spacious with great use made of the features found in medieval barns.
