One night stay which should have been two but we cut short our trip due to bad weather. Nicely run site and in a great location. Would definitely recommend and think it would be idyllic in good weather. Great base for the area. Bit noisy though with people still shouting and talking very loudly around midnight despite the 10pm notice.... More

We spent the first week of September here, quite, clean and well run, lovely place to chill out. Good base for touring the area, plenty to see and do. The amenities are basic but adequate considering it was the end of season everything looked fresh and clean. I can well recommend this site.

Lovely little site - clean and tidy with little shop. Wooded play area for kids too. Perfect for walks - we walked down to the Biblins and along the river and ate at the Royal Lodge which was great. Owner lives on site so no noise at night either

Brilliant little campsite! Tidy and clean facilities, plenty of space around pitches and wonderfully peaceful. No noise after 10pm. Plenty of activities nearby including canoeing, cycling and walking. Would recommend buying the cycling and walking map from the site shop. We'll be going back. Thanks very much.

This was our 3rd visit to Doward. We stayed a week as usual. Staff are wonderfully helpful, site is beautiful. Absolutely no negatives about this site.. lots of walks around the site, very dog friendly, will most certainly be visiting again .

Lovely rural campsite surrounded with woodland, including nature reserves. Small campsite with shop for basics and some pitches with electric hook up and picnic tables for hire. Facilities are clean and modern. Couple of local pubs close by, about 40 minutes walk, we were glad of OS map. The campsite does have a basic sketch map.

Lovely campsite, very friendly and well run. Facilities very clean. Small site, quiet and with lots of lovely walks nearby. Walking distance to decent pubs (though map given out could be better!) Really enjoyed two stays here now. A nice touch is the laundry service, so handy to be able to hand over your laundry in the morning and collect... More

Lovely small campsite, nice and clean with several secluded pitches. Toilets and showers were always clean, although only 2 showers in each block. There's a handy little shop for the essentials and ice cream! Certainly hope we will be back again sometime as it's quite central for the Forest of Dean, River Wye, to drive into Wales or up to... Nice, friendly and easy campsite. Not a huge amount more to say about it really. Good place to stop, set up, sleep. Go. Sometime it is a bit silly that TA makes you wrote 200 words as there isn't much else to say really. It has grass. And toilets. And stuff

We visited for 3 nights over half term. The site was great for families with primary school age children on half term. Toilets, showers and washing up room were all clean and well maintained. Brushes available to sweep out the tents, freezer for ice blocks. Picnic tables could be hired for £1.50 a night (great idea!). Small shop, but everything... More
