We had lunch at this hotel over the Christmas period. We sat in the bar where there was lots of atmosphere and comfortable seating. This is a lovely old pub in that tradition. We ordered sandwiches which were really delicious in fact we had the best roast pork and apple sauce sandwich we had ever had. Something simple done well....

My husband and I had night away to celebrate our anniversary and wanted somewhere to go not too far from home. When we arrived we were shown to our room and the bed was like sitting on a cloud so comfy . After a drink and a walk around the town we had our evening meal in the restaurant. There...

Have visited a few times for family meals in the restaurant. Very clean and interesting little touches like the well and the lovely home baked bread. Food is good, small menu, cooked fresh on order. Good portions. It's still pub food but of a higher than usual standard in my view. Plenty of good drink choices too. Recommended.

We spent a Saturday night here with my wife and I in the 4-poster room and our friend staying in a single occupancy room. Our lovely stay started with a very friendly welcome, not only for us but for our dog too. Often, when staying in dog friendly hotels, the welcome is for the guests and the dog is tolerated....

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay, largely based on the Tripadvisor ratings, and this is the first time we have been let down. We booked a Superior Room, and the room its self was fine. The problem we had was at 6:15am, when a persistent roaring sound woke us up, and continued for at least another half hour....

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are sorry to hear that you were awoken by the central heating coming on. We do appreciate that a good night’s sleep is very important to our guests. To that end, we have installed secondary double glazing and thick curtains to our guest’s bedrooms. Our cellar cooling is timed...
