Just came back from a wonderful stay in the farm house. Staff were welcoming and friendly House was spotless and very comfortable, We had booked for a birthday celebration a year ago but couldn't go due to covid rules. So we had all waited a year for this weekend and it didn't disappoint, we all had a great weekend. Only had one meal in the hotel. The meal was great I would recommend it to anyone.

We came because of a family wedding which was absolutely great. Really well organised, flawless service all day. We stayed for 2 nights and so glad we did. Really comfy and well equipped rooms. Staff were very friendly and felt like nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend the restaurant enough. Fantastic breakfast, so much choice. Really set us up for the day but the evening meal was so great. Brilliant food and even better amazing gluten free options. Brilliant hotel all round. We can't wait to come back

Stayed for one night in October it was a wet weekend We arrived and was made very welcome the lady on the reception was wonderful and explained about the room and that key was on the bed making the room covid safe. We booked breakfast and dinner, the quality of food was out standing local produce everything had lots of flavour. The staff was the best and could not do enough for you, the management must be good as everyone seamed to enjoy being at work, and that showed in the staff. Our room was very clean and had everything you needed, our room had a balcony that was nice with loverly views, I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are some lovely walks and places around in walking distance to keep you amused, only a couple of points, the bed mattress was very soft think it could do with replacing and think could do with more coffees and sugars in room, staff was happy to give me more though. Final thoughts: a wonderful hotel, good location, good food and nice clean rooms, great staff and management, you won't find a better hotel.

I spent a kayaking weekend here with a couple of friends, and we had a great experience. The building is of stone and looks lovely inside and out, with a very impressive dining hall in which suits of armour and mediaeval weapons adorn the walls. There's a welcoming wood stove you can sit next to in the reception, and a cosy bar. The staff without exception were about the friendliest and most professional I've encountered, and a real credit to the hotel. We enjoyed the food and the service so much that we had all our breakfasts and dinners here. The rooms were a little basic but had great bathrooms. The Old Court Hotel is terrific value - I couldn't believe how modest our restaurant and bar bills were. Simply can't recommend this hotel highly enough - I suspect we'll be returning soon!

We were greeted by an older lady who came across extremely confrontational and made us feel unwelcome from the offset. Having not booked a table before arriving she was extremely abrupt and came across as she did us a favour by giving us a table but put us on such a cramped table I had to get up as the same lady coincidentally couldn’t pass with an extremely small highchair and made me move my chair. The same older lady was muttering about her colleagues under her breath after rudely announcing orders to the young waitresses from the bar area which was full of customers. Drinks were also extremely overpriced. My only advice is if you are driving past this place, just keep driving.
