Called in on off chance, originally expected to use the early dinner menu which is even better value, however they don't do this choice in December, you don't get to know that until you've sat down and ask for the menu!!! never mind we came to eat and the main course certainly fills you up and if it doesn't you...

We came here for a special birthday meal pre booked, we left some special napkins to be placed on the table the day before we got there to be told when we got there that someone had taken them and used them somewhere else...they offered to pay for the ones they had lost and replaced with ones they had brought...

We had to wait ages to have our order to be taken, then ages to receive our drinks even though nobody else was in the place, one of the drinks was wrong, staff are not very attentive or alert. Our children's food arrived, the pizza as it was cooling off it became rock hard and we couldn't even cut it...

We stayed in the twin Beko room and were delighted with the whole place, the restaurant was excellent, the location perfect (visiting Loughborough and Leicester universities) and we had a lovely after-dinner beer in the bar which is a proper local pub again with an excellent atmosphere, there was even live music in the bar. Sadly I cannot give this...

Booked due to good price including "Full Breakfast" only it turns out to be continental??? Very misleading! And they want an extra £7 for full English. Stayed in Biko Room, nice big spacious room but very very very cold in the morning, not helped by a tiny radiator hidden by a massive thick curtain.

Stayed in Fagin room for night which was lovely with a four poster bed and overlooking the garden. We decided to have our evening meal here and couldn't fault it. The menu has so much choice that it took us ages to pick. Both meals and starters were delicious and we didn't have room for dessert. The desserts that we...

We'd been here with a Groupon voucher and were so impressed that we chose to celebrate our anniversary here and sample the Early Bird menu of 2 courses for £8.95. The greystone, impressive building exudes an air of a Gentleman's Residence, with oak beams and beautiful old wood surrounded fireplace in the Inglenook. We sat in the bay window overlooking...

Lunch for four adults, teenager & five year old. I starter inedible melon (would have passed for a tropical turnip). One main course wrong with various reasons & suggestions including "we misheard" and "It will take 30 mins to re-do" and finally "well that is no longer on the menu"........ so why not delete it then??...duhhhh. At least we got...
