Reminded me of my Grandmas house and that's not a bad thing! Frances was a lovely host and presented a very well looked after house built back in 1870's. Super breakfast set us up for our drive to Oban nicely. The house is about 10 mins drive from Lockerbie. If you are travelling from mid/south England to Scotland this is an ideal stop off point before the onward journey north.

Arrived with my friend for one night to attend a party in Boreland. Beautiful old manor house, excellent hostess, beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. The house was full of character and very peaceful. The rooms were clean and Francis made sure they were warm. I would recommend the experience, would definitely return.

We stayed 1 night at Corrie Lodge. Beautiful antiques, gracious hostess, 1870s area home. Lovely breakfast and very comfortable rooms upstairs. Wifi is pretty iffy but have no other negatives. If you love old estates you will love it. It's a little rural as it's an old hunting lodge. We loved it.

We phoned early in the morning to book 2 rooms and advised we were to arrive on motorbikes. On arrival Andrew had cleaned a stable out for the two bikes unfortunately the bikes were too wide to fit through the door, off we went for an evening meal and returned to find he had cleaned out a second stable. What an amazing thing to do. Francis excelled at breakfast what I could only describe as the best b & b breakfast I have ever had. Previous descriptions of the rooms as old fashioned, I would prefer historical in keeping with the building. If you like that special customer service this is the one for you. Thank you Francis and Andrew

Stayed just for one night en route to Scotland. Found Frances to be a very welcoming and charming host. Extremely friendly. Rooms are very comfortable with decor to match the charm of the manor house. Breakfast was very good and we were allowed as much time as we wanted to wander around the grounds and see the chickens and horse. Certainly made to feel very at home and welcome. Would stay here again when next travelling up to Highlands of Scotland for lovely retreat to break the journey.
