Having had a wonderful week in and around Scotland,we needed a hotel for our halfway point stay. We luckily found Hightae Inn just outside of Lockerbie off the M74 and what a little hidden gem this place turned out to be ,set in a quiet little village. Our room was stunning, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We cannot speak highly enough of Morag, who was truely wonderful and very welcoming, she simply couldn't of done enough for us, I overlaid for my breakfast because the bed was so comfortable, but she wouldn't let me go without cooking me something. Our evening meal was truly outstanding, so much detail and love went into all three courses, the best meal we have ever had by far. And to top it all off, having searched mile after mile for a red squirrel around Scotland, and then having taking advice from Morag,we even managed to see the elusive squirrel in Eskgrigg nature reserve,5 mintues before checking into the Hotel. We highly recomend Hightae Inn, Thank you so much Morag and Thomas. Chris and April Derbyshire.
