The hotel it self was very basic but the room was very nice had everything you need IE tea coffee hairdryer. Hotel had plenty of parking but do remember to register your cars reg as you only have three hours parking unless you are a guest and is in a service station. Hotel was very quite and clean.
Lovely and quiet . Lovely and relaxing Lovely friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return. Dog friendly and, lovely walks around the grounds with a lovely lake and seating area
We have stayed in this hotel in previous years. It has pleasant views of the lake and surprisingly little road traffic noise in the rooms at the back. We phoned and emailed ahead to secure a quiet room but did nor receive a reply. Fortunately we had been allocated a room on the quiet side, but were woken up to 2.00 a.m. by corridor noise and 6.00 a.m. by dogs being walked outside. The room now look dated and tired, and the bathroom needed refurbishment- our taps did not work well. The experience has put us off booking at other hotels in this group, but perhaps this is a one off.
Judging by the 90’s decor and carpets and the purple signs it’s a Premier Inn rebadged as Days Inn. The hotel has seen better days, it’s dated and desperately needs refurbishment. The grout in the bathroom is dirty and missing in places, there’s an over bath shower with a curtain not a screen, the balcony door was damaged and badly repaired, there were no bedside plugs for charging your phone, only three plugs in the room including the one for the TV, it had a stained sofa and radiator that gave off a worrying smell when I turned it on. I was bitten by insects in the night. The hotel claimed it was midges from the lake but I had the door closed. With the location by the lake it could be a nice hotel but it’s so dated. I paid £75 for the night which was at least £35 too much.…
We stayed as a family for 1 night. On check in there was a queue of us waiting to check in, nobody on the desk at all. I emailed the hotel to ask for a quiet room before our stay for my child with ASD but never heard anything back. On check in I asked and was told I was in the room which wasn’t the quiet side and nothing could be done. Rooms are very dated, in need of an upgrade. The hotel itself is in such a beautiful location but such a shame it’s let down with customer service and shabby rooms. For £80 a night you definitely expect a-lot more. Next time we will stay in Lockerbie itself which is a short drive off the motorway.
