Visited this little gem tonight with a friend - arranged by her work colleagues - large group, but there was more than enough space for us all (about 20 in total) we sat in the bar area before being taken to our table. Lovely setting, beautiful interior and atmosphere. Oh did I mention the food, melt in your mouth fillet...

Very comfortable and clearly refurbished to very good standard and taste. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Prices a tad high for what you received and the quality of food was average and unexciting.

I've eaten here countless times and usually love it, but I'm sad to say that the Sunday lunch today was very disappointing. The portion size was minuscule ....and that's coming from two people who don't eat very much! I was given a teaspoon of mash, and that's no exaggeration. Once you removed the giant Yorkshire pudding off the plate, the...

Now with a new menu, layout and snazzy staff uniform, this pub restaurant gets busy so I'd book. The staff are keen to please with appropriate good humour. Food is good quality with very generous portion sizes. Main entrance is now wheelchair accessible but does have large (lovely) heavy manual doors. Veggie food is a little limited and as my...

We visited for a meal 16th February for our 10 year anniversary and left very disappointed. First the good points, we arrived via the nearby train station and the recent refusrbishment looks great as we approached the building it was very nicely lit and welcoming. The refurbishment inside is equally good and very tastefully done, even the toilets were very...

We have been working in the area and some colleagues have stayed. Firstly it is recently refurbished so I don't know what it used to be like but right now they have everything just right. A few colleagues have stayed there and the rooms are very nice. The food is excellent and the beer "Pint of Lee's bitter" is very...

We visited the restaurant with my husband's family. What a disappointment. While the premises has been refurbished, the food was as bad as before the closure. My husband and I chose the 3 cheese pie. Both were meagre. Mine was acceptably cooked but my husband's was burnt. The dish was advertised as being served with a jacket potato which turned...

We only went to eat, our first visit to the Golden Pheasant since its recent refurbishment. Less changed than anticipated, and fairly quiet. Good selection of Lees ales. I had the fish pie, my partner the lamb shank. A common problem I find with fish pie, not just here but elsewhere, is not being properly heated through and sure enough...

My husband and myself called into the Golden Pheasant while we was returning home after a nice walk in the countryside. We thought we would have a bite to eat but when we looked on the menu we noticed that there was not really much choice. Also while I was reading the menu I noticed that the menu did not...

Excellent food got to be the best Sunday roast in Cheshire. All veg and meat is cooked to perfection. Staff are all very polite and attentive. But not over bearing and we didn't have to pay up front but could open a tab at the bar.
