Had the most wonderful meal at At The Dog; beautiful quality food, could not fault any of it. We had the ham shank which was excellent together with the cheese pie also. The lemon posset was delightful as was the cheese and biscuits. Will definitely return.

We visited with our friends and babies for Sunday lunch. It was very busy as the sun was out. We had a nice table outside though moved inside when it clouded over. We both ordered the meze sharing platter but were disappointed with the portion size - one falafel isn't really to share? Though it was all very tasty. The...

Stayed for one night. Room was fine for a country Inn all that we needed. All the staff that we spoke to were excellent. The Inn was very busy but service was very efficient. The food was of high quality both evening and breakfast. It was also nice to see in a country Inn a real fire and Dogs being allowed...

We stopped by on a Sunday lunchtime and were pleased to be accommodated, as most tables appeared to have been reserved for regular visitors. The food was good, with several traditional Sunday lunch options. The pub was very busy, which meant that the service was understandably a little slow. Nevertheless we all had wholesome meals, served by efficient and polite...

Went to The Dog twice in one day with colleagues for both lunch and then early evening drinks. Great atmosphere - how a pub should be. Good menu choice and all high quality. Evening beers great by the fire, staff very friendly and would definitely consider staying in one of the rooms in future. Great find

Our Grandson and his partner gave us a gift voucher for lunch at our favourite country pub.As usual Gareth and his team were on top form, providing us with some lovely carrot soup, excellent fish and chips and a club sandwich to die for .All washed down with the best Timothy Taylor and perfect Pinot.

Went for BBC ribs with skinny fries & house coleslaw...'skinny fries' were undercooked oven chips which were cold on arrival...ribs were plentiful but just boiled & some gooey sauce thrown over them and it was a very small portion of coleslaw - came away most disappointed....had poor service here at the dog before but never a meal as poor as...

As our friends have moved into the area and we live in the Fylde we decided to drive to them for a change of scenery, they recommended this pub as close to them. The Sunday lunch was exceptional the beef cooked to perfection and the yorkshires just melt in your mouth. Prices are very reasonable and you can have a...
