The room we stayed in for 5 nights was huge - king size bed, sofa for sitting, and plenty of floor space. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed with great water pressure. The location was very close to downtown (less than a 5 minute walk). There is off street parking. Ruth and Edgar were helpful and very friendly. The made-to-order...

The B&B is an old manse and the rooms are spacious, light and comfortable. Edmund and Ruth are very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were wonderful with the best porridge ever. Kirkwall centre is only 5 minutes walk away, so the off street parking is very useful.

As you enter 2 Dundas Crescent don’t miss the Orkney chair on your right in the foyer because your gaze will be drawn to the two storey windows above the staircase to the second floor of this classic 19th century manse. We were welcomed by Edgar who immediately made us feel at home and provided introductory information on the B&B...

This B&B was very close to the heart of town---a five minute walk at best. Every morning Edgar, the owner, would visit us at breakfast to make sure that we were satisfied with everything at the B&B and to see if there were was any assistance we needed. The breakfasts were delicious. If you can arrange it, take a tour...

We stayed for three nights in July at this lovely old house. Our room was excellent - very large with original wooden shutters and a beautifuly appointed shower room. The breakfasts were superb. Well done Edgar and Ruth; you are a real credit to Scottish hospitality.

We stayed with Ruth and Edgar for 7 nights between June and July, it was our first foray onto Orkney. The Bed and Breakfast is run from a large 19th century Manse House that's well decorated with light and spacious rooms that are spotlessly clean. You can be sure of a traditional Orcadian reception; Ruth is the business of the...

My friend and I spent two days here on a cycling holiday touring the Orkneys and Shetlands in May 2015. Arriving quite late, we were greeted by the friendly owners and shown to a nice & comfortable large twin room. The B&B was very clean and the owners couldn't do enough for us. They were very helpful and suggested a...

Listed as The Old Manse 2 Dundas Crescent. Ruth and Edgar are the Hosts - what a wonderful couple gave us a warm Orcadian Welcome. We had a very pleasant two night stay. The B & B is located just up the street from the ruins of Earl's Palace and St Magnus Cathedral. We had a very nice large room,...

Comfortable beds, great breakfasts, central location, friendly owners, safe car parking. Ruth and Edgar will look after you and give lots of advice to make your Orkney stay enjoyable. We visited for six nights and look forward to returning.

Sunday's Crescent was a lovely place to stay. Rooms spick and span, quality fixtures and fittings, and comfortable beds. Breakfast freshly cooked, totally delicious and satisfying. Lots of useful information provided and very welcoming hosts, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money, We hope to visit again.

“Rooms at the front have a view of the cathedral. On the other hand, the room (as far as I know there's only one) at the side is probably the quietest - not that noise was a problem for us.”
