Detailed Reviews
Recently spent 3 nights at the well country inn, spotlessly clean, great food and a very warm welcome from the hosts, and staff.
Every effort was made to ensure social distancing, hand sanitizer in plentiful supply, drinks and food ordered from and delivered to our table.
Would totally recommend the inn and will visit again on our next trip to Scotland.
Great stay, many thanks Ronnie and Tanya.

Dad's idea to dine at The Well was "well" received. Cosy table by log burner, attentive and smiley staff set the tone for a warm family gathering. Succulent roast beef, crispy yorkshires and rich gravy; delicious and satisfying Sunday lunch which was excellent value for money. Hard to beat!

+1
We have popped in on several occasions since July while out walking and really love this place. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food always tastes amazing and never takes long to arrive. There are weekly specials up on the wall which helps keep things interesting and not boring like a lot of places. Great location, as only a mile from where we live, so ideal for walking there and back and not having to take the car. Look forward to our next visit! Thanks again.

I was given a very friendly welcome in the bar when I arrived. It was too late to eat but the diners who were leaving seemed happy and the menu looked contemporary. My room in the annex was very clean and quiet. Bathroom a little dated but overall great value for money.

My wife and I were walking in the area with our dog and popped in for lunch.
The menu was fairly extensive and the food we had was very tasty and servings generous. Very reasonably priced and made all the better by the eat out help out saving!
The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
This was our first visit but we'd certainly go back if we were in the area.

Christmas lunch here with our Ramblers walking Group. 21 of us enjoyed an excellent meal with pleasant and efficient service. We selected our menu choices in advance, were served promptly and the food was of an excellent standard. The room where we ate was attractive and our table was dressed for Christmas. No complaints at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and wish the new owners well for the future.

We made a last-minute reservation for food on a child-free Saturday night. We live nearby, so great to have a restaurant within walking distance. We booked the last timeslot of the evening, which was 8pm. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and chatted away to us all night. It was busy, with people retiring to the bar afterwards for drinks. Great venue, can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Impromptu family lunch after a trip to Loch Leven. Food was delicious and service excellent. A very welcoming environment and there were great choices on the menu! This is obviously a popular choice with locals and we were lucky to chance upon the Well!

my friend and i were walking in the area and popped in before driving home, on arriving at the door they were having a delievery so we stood back and let them sort it out to which the staff asked if she could help but not exactly in a friendly matter- my friend asked if the bar was open to which she answered she'd be two minutes and we had to wait outside- on walking through the bar we were asked if we wanted drinks or food to which we asked if we could see the menu, it was showed to us- i never even had it in my hand before i got asked if i wanted food or not as she would need to tell the chef! i thought she was so rude i didnt want food so bought couple of drinks and sat down, after having the member of staff looking down their nose at my friend and i (professional people who work hard and enjoy their time off eating out) we couldnt get out of their quick enough- just for the record- no the staff didnt say bye just completely ignored! i will never go back there!

Dropped in for dinner by chance on our way home Friday evening - bad choice. Only one other table occupied - now we know why.
Steak pie was fine, but kilted chicken inedible. It didn't smell right and went uneaten. (Suspect it had something to do with the extremely fatty bacon together with whisky sauce). The odd smell persisted until dish was removed from table. Ordered sweets anyway and were presented with MICROWAVED apple pie in custard! YUCK.
When questioned, waitress seemed puzzled and said "Well, that's the way we do it here!"
Needless to say we didn't pay for the pie. Complained also about the smelly chicken, but nothing doing.
£31.45 (including 2 drinks) wasted.

I think there is to the restaurant area although access generally inside is a bit limited as it is on two levels.
