Quaint, old town house next to Square Chapel and Piece Hall. Good location near train station and science museum "Eureka!". Room was cold, heating controls difficult to handle. Noisy external air-conditioning/ventilation from kitchen. Food was mediocre. No lift, no offer of help with case - 3 flights. But: it was quite cheap!

Stayed here overnight to attend an event at the local theatre and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very near the station and also a short walk into the town centre (up hill). Parking is plentiful but note it is across the road from the actual hotel. The room was nicely appointed (if a little warm) and the staff...

The Imperial Crown Hotel was very comfortable and clean - it is a very old building and the only thing I think that needs an update is the bathroom (in our room) otherwise it was very nice. The Restaurant and Bar area had obviously been updated and looked immaculate. The staff, well you could not ask for a better service,...

Visited this hotel during a visit to Halifax, first impressions of the hotel, sedimentary a nice ambiance about the place. A 5 minute walk from the Wool Shops Shopping centre. The food was good & reasonably priced, service was excellent. I'd love to stay at this lovely hotel. Well worth a visit for meeting for drinks & food.

Well located close to main rail station, good for business or pleasure, very good value, staff are superb, rooms are well appointed and the hotel overall has a lovely quirky feeling so different to the normal chains. Breakfast is a feast and a half served with wonderful Yorkshire charm.

We found our room to be clean neat tidy and compact. Might benefit from some type of double glazing to block out the small amount of noise ( air conditioning unit?) Ate in the restaurant for our evening meal. Starters Spare ribs- delicious well cooked and falling off the bone prawn Cocktail updated and served not in 70s style. Both...

First impressions upon arriving were really positive. The gentleman receptionist could not have been any more helpful or cheery. The rooms themselves are rather chintzy (avocado coloured bath suite) and it feels it's age. The original features of the house have been retained but it does make it very noisy and can hear everything through the bedroom walls. It isn't...
