What a lovely place to stay! Close to the town, lovely, warm, friendly host. Nothing was too much trouble, Stephen was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable of the area, pleasant, chatty, very down to earth. Didn't really see his wife Ginny atall, would've have liked to, however, it doesn't matter. Parking isn't too great, but that wouldn't put us off staying there again, lovely comfortable room, the bed wasn't too comfortable though, however, again, that wouldn't stop us staying again. Good value for money, lovely breakfast, nice little touches in the room- shower gel, sewing kit, shower cap, bath robes. Thanks for a lovely, pleasant experience! Keep up the good work!

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2021 and we had a fantastic short-break. This B&B offers a lot. The hosts Stephen and Ginny are the most friendly and lovely hosts you can meet. Very chatty and genuinely nice people. We really enjoyed our family room (triple room) which was very comfortable and nicely finished. I liked the expensive toiletries in the bathroom and all the small amenities, like sewing kit, dental kit, etc. It’s rare to find these at B&B, but this is why this B&B is so great. There is so much attention to detail. We loved their breakfast. It was a lot of breakfast. We had fresh fruit, porridge, full English breakfast. On second morning I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon which was divine! We usually like to try everything on the first morning and we literally were overwhelmed with the amount of food, although my husband was in haven. It was fantastic and exactly what we needed after long isolation months. We just wanted to feel pampered with food, service and hospitality and we found it here. They also catered for our sons’ allergies. He has many and they really made an extra effort. This really was fantastic! We stayed here as we came to visit Highland Safari Park, but it’s worth visiting Granton-on-Spey itself! We couldn’t find any reasonably priced accommodation in Aviemore hence we looked elsewhere and we were so glad! Granton-on-Spey is much prettier than Aviemore and has many stunning Victorian houses and streets. There are also many walks to the river and distillery nearby. From here we travelled to Nairn as it was a hot day and we wanted to visit Hamish’s Splash park which was ideal for our toddler on a hot, sunny day. We hope the prices stay the same as we felt it was a great value for money and with the same prices we will come back in the future. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and we will be back here again.

Proprietors were really friendly and service was great. The house is very spacious, traditional and tastefully decorated. The rooms were very comfortable and a tray in the room for tea/ coffee & shortbread, which was most welcome. Breakfast was hearty. They catered well for my dairy and gluten intolerance and being vegan!

We've had some interesting experiences while in Scotland but staying here is not "interesting", it is FABULOUS. Stephen and Ginny are wonderful, caring and considerate hosts who want you to enjoy their home and the surrounding area. The size of the house with it's wide hall and staircase gives you a sense of space and room to move which is welcoming in itself. Our room is very comfortable with not only tea and coffee available but some mints, toffees etc. The bathroom is good with a great shower and there are robes in the wardrobe. Based on everything else, our expectations at breakfast were high and we were not disappointed. You choose the night before and somehow Stephen has committed your order to memory!! Ginny was busy in the kitchen and our breakfast was perfect with lots of checks to make sure we had enough of everything and were satisfied. We didn't actually feel hungry again until about 3pm!! After breakfast during which we were asking questions... Stephen got out a map and took time to explain the area and historical sites/events so we could plan what we could do with our two days and he also lent us an OS map to use for our time here. We had planned a short local walk but based on his enthusiastic input, we changed and ended up seeing so much more and having a wonderful walk. We cannot compliment our hosts more than to recommend them to you and say we will be back!!

When we arrived we had a warm welcome from Virginia as if we were family. Our room was very clean and comfortable plenty of tea and coffee after a long journey. We met Stephen later on and it was the same as if we were long lost family. The breakfast was excellent and could not fault the service. Stephen also gave us plenty of advice where to visit in the area. I would recommend that if you are looking for value money with above excellent service look no further than Dunallan Guest House. If we are ever up in this area of Scotland again it would be our first choice. Thank you Virginia and Stephen for a wonderful and relaxing stay you really made us feel welcome. Hope to come back one day.
