We feel we must have stayed on a different site after reading some of the reviews. We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The amenities are kept spotless all the time. We had a great pitch. Site is well located for a stroll into Grantown. We will definitely be bak. Thank you

Here at the moment. Really impressed and haven't found anything not to like. Facilities are first class. Very very clean. Location cannot be faulted. Had a lovely fish supper from the van on site. Could go on, they have went the extra mile in thinking of what you require. Yes, in comparison with other sites it is pricey but it's 5 star. Very happy here.

Some people seem to have not liked this site, however, we are staying here just now and it is genuinely lovely. We have a lovely view from where we are. The facilities are very clean, good showers with hot water and the grounds are very well kept, 10 out of 10 for digging circular borders around lovely trees, attention to detail, well done! The high street is a short walk away, a few shops for a wander round, bakers, butcher, co-op, hotel, restaurants, takeaways. Lots of walls around which we will be doing next. The only thing I would say is it’s a bit pricey and there are plenty of spaces. It would be better to have lower rates and a fuller site from a business point of view as well as a personal view! It’s been costly in fuel getting here. If it had been cheaper, we would have stayed on but we have been able to get better rates at Aviemore, so will move on shortly. My husband did comment that the tracking on one of your buggies is out on the outside of the tyres is smooth! Free wifi.

Superb facilities, toilets and showers spotless, hot water, heated and have private cubicle with a sink and free hairdryer. The site was also spotless and clean. Lovely well maintained flowers, park for children and washing facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Stayed in a wigwam which was delightful, clean, warm, comfortable and with electric, a fridge, kettle and tv. Easy access to the local town, with local co-op, a museum and woodland walks. Pubs in town were also welcoming. The stars on a clear night we’re fabulous too.

We had a brilliant 1 night stay at Grantown on Spey as a couple with our 2 dogs touring the NC500. Pitches were a good size and facilities clean. Washing machine and dryer a great addition too - we liked not having to get tokens from reception as this meant we could use them first thing. Only niggle being that the website advertised brilliant, super duper wifi that cost 6 figures. This was meant to ensure all pitches had access but we could barely pick this up.

We booked for three nights but left after one as this site was not to our liking. When we arrived we were shown to our services pitch which was all hard standing chippings. The warden did his best to try to find an alternative but the site was pretty full. When we gave feedback on this we were told that; "most people wanted these pitches and we were in the 5% bracket of those who would express dislike" - well each to their own I suppose. He also said that the owners know what pitch types sell and did not feel minded to change anything. However, in our opinion these pitches, and there were at least three rows of them that we saw, were cold, uninviting and not convivial to sitting out and enjoying the views. In fact most people we saw simply sat in their awnings. We also found the site not dog friendly. Whilst there are good walks from the site, there is no dog exercise area on the site for those early morning or last thing at night walks. Certainly, do not try and take your dog into the reception area as you will get your head bitten off by the curt receptionist! We were told of a small sign stating No Dogs on the door but the door was held open and we did not see it. So, if you don't want dogs in there at least make the sign obvious and have the common courtesy not to bite the heads off your paying guests. I strongly suspect this review, like other less than glowing ones here, may receive a sarcastic and somewhat arrogant rebuttal, but we have given what we believe is a fair appraisal of our experience to help others.

Thanks for your review, we take all feedback seriously whether positive or negative. We are disappointed to hear the park was not to your liking, but as you say each to their own. The super pitch you were on is one of the most popular rows on site, Green 1-5, and these are requested by many people and booked well in advance to ensure guests get to stay on these pitches. Our policy is if you book for five nights or more you can choose your pitch, depending on availability. However, we do understand that they may not be to everyone’s liking, but the many positive reviews on this and other websites clearly show that other guests have a different opinion to you. The dog walks available are very close just out from the boundaries of the park, but not actually on the site. We receive many return bookings from guests with dogs who enjoy the site and surrounding area; you only have to visit our social media to see this by the posts put up and the comments made. We are very sorry to read you did not receive the customer service we aspire to provide; we can only apologise for this.

The survey sent out by these people only allows you to give a 5 (excellent) or 4 (good) star response. So I've come on here to give them a 2, partly at least for their scamming attempt to make themselves look good. The other issues were that I could not access the wifi and got no help to do so, even when I asked. There was no hot water in the toilet block for about 18 hours. Fixing it was only part of the solution, but there were quite happy to take money from everyone for services not provided.

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. The survey you refer to is not sent out by the caravan park, but the partner to our booking system, Campstead. On checking, there is the option to choose a star rating from 5 down to 1, and this can be seen by the responses (although most are very positive) on their website, but we will pass your concerns regarding the rating on to them. Sorry you did not receive the expected level of help with access to the wifi, but the warden team try to do as much as possible with any issues that arise during our guests stays. We were made aware of the issue with the hot water and fixed the problem as soon as we could. The upper toilet block was always available with hot water whilst this issue was fixed. We are disappointed to hear the park did not reach your level of expectation, we hope you have a better experience if you do choose to return.

Booked this site for 1 night and paid top dollar for it. Greeted on arrival by a quite brusque fellow who intimated that our pitch was a pretty poor one - and he was right. He took us down a no entry road in our large caravan, don’t know how I made it round the incredibly tight corner to a pitch that was all concrete and opposite 2 wooden cabins that made reversing almost impossible. He did ask if my reversing skills were good! Thankfully the motor mover did the trick. The pitch had a surface like a ball and impossible to get level. No nice area to sit outside. The Dutch couple who arrived next to us had to park side on. If your going to charge these prices then you should be entitled to a decent pitch. The chemical waste and grey water was a trek. Water was not close either. So if there is a next time - I’ll review where they stick me - like the fellow who guided us said - what did you do to get a pitch like this one…..

Many thanks for your review. We value all our staff and they are entitled to their view whether it is agreed with or not. Disappointing to read their opinion has had a detrimental effect on your thoughts. At the end of the day we do understand it is a matter of opinion. For instance, you only need to read the review below yours by “Ally”. This guest also stayed on the same row as yourself – in front of our wigwams - and it’s so interesting to see how contrasting their view is. Our policy is if you are staying for 5 nights or more you can pick any pitch if available. We hope you do return and find your next experience an enjoyable one.

This site is stunning! We had a 3 night stay as part of a tour of scotland in our campervan. On arrival we were met with a lovely staff member who took us to our pitch (we are used to choosing a pitch so I was a little worried but had no need to be) We were taken to our pitch by following an electric golf cart (a big tick for me, as great for the environment) once shown our pitch we had a mini tour to show us where things were (thank goodness as this place is huge). We had a lovely pitch up near the wigwams. The site is immaculately clean, there are stunning bushes and trees. There are some boarders that look like they are ready to be planted and will look wonderful. We don't have children but the park looks great. There is a recycling area with many different bin for each type of glass, card, paper, plastic (again the site ethos of recycling is a big tick!) The showers/toilets are kept to a very high standard. The showers themselves are very powerful, I sometimes struggle with my thick hair on some sites, but not here. The power setting is also adjustable which is nice. There is free WiFi, which they have spent alot of money implementating, most sites charge between £3.50 a day upto £40 per year for this. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The town is a 10 minute walk away with some lovely shops, I can highly recommend Asher's bakery! Also for something a little different check out my secret dressing room, abs stunning piece of jewelry in there, including vintage (had to treat myself) The viewpoint walk is a must if you are able. It's a bit of a slog up hill to start (not suitable for small children/wheelchairs/anyone with difficulty walking) but so worth it. We enjoyed our stay so much we will come back but may stay in a cabin next time as a treat.
