Purchased a Sunday night special £75 including breakfast and dinner for two, tremendous value. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very attentive. The old building was full of character and the views were magnificent, dinner was a carvery not my favourite but the quality and standard was very high. We will return.

This place is my worst nightmare. The early eighties decor is sad, old and dirty. They've tried to cheer up the very outdated restaurant with plastic ivy stapled to wall dividers only beaten by the plastic geranium down the centre of the room. Paintwork is dirty and paint flaking off doors and woodwork everywhere. The outside is not much better...

Our rooms were refurbished - lovely- some of the hall-ways were tired but are about to be refurbished.. Staff were very helpful and pleasant - especially the lads from Perth behind the bar. Food was good- although breakfast could have been better for those who dont like a fry-up. Entertainment was excellent. In Summary great week-end will definitely go back

Thie is evidently a hotel in the middle of an upgrade. Some of the areas, corridors and rooms are ghastly whilst others are quite presentable. Booking at the Cumbria Grand whilst this work is taking place is akin to a game of lotto therefore. Most of the guests are elderley, which has it's benefits, but gives the hotel a slighly...

Arrived at 1pm, The building is very run down. Our room wasn't ready which wasn't a problem because we're early. We went to the bar for some lunch, waited, could hear voices, had to shout to get service. Ordered sandwiches and drinks. We asked for one sandwich in Brown, white came!!. It's my wife's birthday and I bought her some...

Lovely big Victorian Hotel in lovely setting. We had a family room and it was great that the twin beds are around the corner from the double as gives more privacy. Ok so the rooms that aren't refurbished need some tlc but more than fine. The bar staff were superb. Andrew and co were attentive, friendly and helpful. Thank you...

Very impressive looking Hotel just up the hill (quite steep) from Grange-over-Sands railway station. The rooms were very nice but quite a walk to the restaurant for some of them. Nice lounge. The food was good but service a little slow sometimes. The grounds were beautiful. Reception Staff and Manager could not do enough for you. I had to change...

Room good and spacious. Bathroom clean. Driveway very steep and no courtesy car for pick up at bottom of drive. Was told to order a taxi to drive us up the drive! On arrival we ordered a cheese sandwich and was presented with proccessed cheese. All the food was of inferior quality. Nothing tasted fresh. Staff very surly except the...
