Had not been to G/over/S for some years, so found The Lymehurst on-line. Jackie & her husband have been making great strides since acquiring the hotel last October. We were in a completely refurbished ground floor bedroom with en-suite with bathtub & sophisticated overhead shower heads & etceteras & underfloor heating for the floor tiles! Front facing outlook could just...

I had a lovely five day stay at this hotel. I can't praise the owners enough for the effort put in to make me welcome - particularly Jackie, who was not only helpful in a practical way, but who was so friendly and kind. The food, especially breakfast, was lovely and even though they have not finished their renovations, I...

Very misleading advertising. Not so much a hotel more a B&B. Bar/Restaurant appear to be on request despite clear signage outside indicating it has both. Not sure of the difference between luxury and standard double room bar a sofa squashed in the room (certainly not worth the extra £20 or so). I appreciate it has new owners who are renovating...

Stayed for one night. Jackie, the owner, couldn't do enough for us. Very accommodating and friendly. Great for dogs too! Rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Great for a short get away. Highly recommended Cartmel which is only 5-10 min drive away. You can book dog friendly taxis too! Ask for Trevor!

Stayed for one night for a short break away. Very comfortable, quality fixtures and fittings. Would definitely book again. Very warm welcome from the owner and helpful advice, nothing too much trouble.

Julie and her husband have recently taken over the hotel and are in the process of renovating the rooms; bringing back many of the original features to this wonderful building. The warmth of our reception was wonderful. Fab breakfast sourced from local organic produce. We had a wonderful stay, and will be sure to revisit and recommend to our friends...

The Lymehurst hotel is situated in the sleepy village of Grange-over-Sands, which is close to Lake Windermere. We stayed for two nights in December 2016, the hotel is comfortable and clean. On arrival, we were greeted by Jackie, who was very welcoming with a great knowledge of the surrounding areas and places to visit. The room was a good size,...

We stayed one night at the Lymehurst on a brief visit to Grange-over-Sands. After a warm welcome from Jackie, she told us that she had upgraded our standard room to a larger one at no extra cost. The room was warm and spacious, with a modern en-suite including a bath (definitely a plus for us). The complementary items were plentiful-...

A very warm welcome. Grange is a lovely town with plenty of amenities. Excellent place to stay to explore the lakes. The hotel itself is a lovely building. Rooms are of a good size and spotlessly clean. Bathrooms are also very clean and bright. Lovely touches like spring water and biscuits. Breakfasts are excellent with plenty of choice. Jackie was...
