Four night break Monday to Friday to take in Regatta week. Fab from start to finish. Lovely, friendly welcome upon arrival. Great room - well appointed, light, airy, large and very clean. Bed was large and extremely comfortable. All food was super, service was super - I really can't fault anything -- other than a few drizzly days of weather...

A perfect place to stay for a few days of rest and recreation in one of the most beautiful locations on the south Cornish coast. Wonderfully comfortable throughout, with charming and helpful staff, delicious food, and glorious views over the harbour, upstream and across to Polruan. There is a lift serving all floors in the hotel, but be aware that...

Look no further if you are looking for a hotel with a 'homely' feel in a stunning and convenient location, excellent food and exceptionally helpful staff not to mention a very comfortable room and a glorious 'bubbly' bath. Already booking for a longer stay next year. Hopefully by then however, residents will not be charged £10 to park their car!...

A truly elegant hotel which tries everthing to satisfy the discerning and those who can appreciate. Built in the way past it must have seen life at the best and a lot of changes. This is a hotel so removed from the drab chains so often seen. Stunning location it was built in an era when none demanded to have...

Only spent 1 night which was for my wife's 50th birthday. We both really enjoyed the stay. All the staff including the general handyman were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing seemed any trouble to the staff. I organised flowers to be delivered to the hotel. These were placed in our room and even put in a vase of water, which...

We spent two days at the Fowey Hotel (Pronounced Foy) and enjoyed the stay. The hotel is right on the estuary with excellent views across the water to the other bank. Some great terraces to sit on and look at the view. The food was first class and served well, the staff were friendly and helpful, so happy to recommend....

This hotel has wonderful views of the Fowey Estuary. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The bar which stocks over 37 varieties of gin is the perfect place to re charge your batteries. The hotel also has a comfortable outside terrace with the same magnificent views. The hotel has a small car park which isn't for the faint hearted!...

Lovely location by the sea in Fowey. Staff are all very friendly and obliging. Make sure that you request a parking space for your compact car in advance. The roads are very narrow (hence the compact car) and parking in Fowey is extremely limited. We had room 105 and the view out over the estuary was stunning. Bathroom fan is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Made famous by the celebrated authoress, Daphne du Maurier, and ranked as one of the UK’s most desirable locations, the pretty Cornish town of Fowey, is a delight to explore. Clusters of characterful buildings, cottages and shops tumble down the hillside to rub shoulders with those stacked along the curving main street, which runs parallel to the Fowey estuary. The Fowey Hotel, with its wonderful views over the town, estuary and the sea is the perfect place from which to explore it all! There's plenty to do and see too. Shopping is fun, with a variety of independent specialist shops, galleries and delicatessens - with not a high street name in sight! The town is a most pleasant walk from end to end; to be taken at a reasonable dawdle, in order not to miss a bit as there are some wonderful surprises just round every corner. From here you can venture east or west along the South West coast path and walk for miles or drive no more than a short distance, to visit the numerous sights and attractions situated in this lush, verdant area of Cornwall. The Fowey Hotel is part of Richardson Hotels of Distinction. ... more   less
