Wonderful hotel in central location. Ideal base for exploring local area, both on foot and by bus/train. Excellent room and excellent food in the dining room. Great service from all the hotel's staff. Will definitely return.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed three nights at the Old Quay and loved the hotel. The location is perfect on the waterside with a lovely terrace for drinks and meals. Our room was modern and well furnished and the food both dinner and breakfast excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful. Our only negative was that our room faced the street and had Venetian blinds which meant that the lights from the shop fronts shone into our room all night. We think this room should have heavy curtains

Hotel was comfortable and the staff helpful. We were pleased that the weather was kind to us as the car park was a ten minute walk away. We were a bit disappointed that a "celebration Platter" didn't materialised as promised. We also found the music in the Dining Room a little too loud as did other guests we heard commenting at meal times...

Our 2 night stay was excellent. Clean, comfortable room with high ceiling. Coffee machine with capsules provided. Amenities from White Company are excellent. I love that the breakfast was cooked to order instead of a standard hotel buffet, and you could choose what you want from the menu. We opted for dinner at the hotel one of the nights. The restaurant had a nice view and food looked pretty. The bottles were a little pricey and the food was a little too salty. Overall an excellent stay but would’ve been 5 star if the food was not always overseasoned.

A lovely little hotel with nice views over the water. The evening dinner is a showstopper. Rooms are clean and well maintained with nice bathrooms. The view over the balcony from our room could have been slightly better. Make sure you request a room closest to the water.
