A nice two night stay, we had a splendid view of the river from our bedroom. The staff were exceptionally polite and courteous. The Restaurant was outstanding and our 3 course room rate deal with £30 allowance if you wander into the bigger menu was generous. We wanted two nights yet there was a time when we wished we had... We stayed here for one night with our dog before the arrival of our baby. Lovely suite, fabulous food and service that could not be faulted. The spa is very relaxing and peaceful, we didn't have any treatments although I'm sure they would be great as the staff were very professional and helpful. Overall, a fabulous time had by all... Recommended by a friend, we were delighted to find an extremely well-run and managed Hotel, with friendly, motivated staff who did everything possible to make our stay an excellent experience. Standard room was much larger than expected, with a great view from floor-to-ceiling window, overlooking the river, with a constantly changing tableau on the green opposite, of people walking their... Superbly designed as a cruise ship with all rooms having spectacular views overlooking the river Stour, this is an ideal place in which to chill out or "party" with family and friends. Many guests like me return regularly and it is also extremely popular with the locals. The menu throughout the day and evening is expansive and the food excellent.... More
