Sadly this hotel has closed and is likely to be redeveloped. All good wishes to Kim and family for their future. We had many happy times here. If I could afford one of the houses for which planning permission was sought, I would - fabulous location.

Definitely the best location of any hotel in Bude. Views from the hotel and terrace were awesome. We booked last minute as we have done many times before as Bude is one of our favourite destinations...this time we gambled on the price...Penarvor quoted 75% that the other hotels quoted for our 3 night stay. Our conclusions... The Hotel was basic...nothing... More

A nice place to stay and the beds were comfortable with a lovely view of the cliffs. The room, upon arriving, reeked of bleach and they currently don't have a chef which made eating out in torrential rain a chore. However, the breakfast was great and the place was quiet with pleasant staff.

This is as close as you will to the beach. Any closer and you will be in the water. Love the place. Definitely coming back next year. Only mistake I made was booking late...apart from that room was comfortable and breakfast was very good. My family loved the views from my the front garden.

My teenage children are usually very picky about where we stay and we didn't expect too much as the hotel is rated as two star! However when we arrived we were wowed firstly by the awesome view from the hotel and the location, being only a five minutes leisurely and scenic walk from the middle of the lovely town, also... My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming. We were given a double room next to the dining room. However we found the room a bit small - more of a single room size The curtains were very thin, and as it was Summer we were woken up at dawn by the... More

We spent two night here in May 2015. Nothing wrong just not as good as b&bs in Bude which offer better facilities for same price. But close to SW coastal path, glorious views over the beach and very helpful (seasonal) staff.

My husband and I stayed one night at The Hotel Penarvor after walking 15 miles in windy and rainy conditions from Hartland Quay. We were extremely thankful that the hotel's location in Crooklet's Beach was on the closest side to the walking path (from Hartland Quay) After checking in, we were invited to sit in the lounge area and were... My husband and I stayed here May bank holiday weekend and took our granddaughter with us. We had a very comfortable stay. Enjoyed our weekend very much. Rooms are very clean and breakfast excellent. Lovely people to stay with. Gorgeous sea view too, what more could you want Wish it had been longer.

Nice location , however please try to avoid the top rooms. Horrible, they convert the loft in the room. Is not spacious at tall, create the feeling that you are in the box, claustrophobic. I think that they should mention to the people when they booked, just because some are happy and some or not. Shame though because this ruined... More
