Been coming to Bude for some years same week. This past 4 days at the edgcumbe has been great...rooms nice, b fast superb and most of all a very warm welcome and a "couldn't do enough for you "approach to service. Highly recommend.

The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. From our arrival reception to a genuine-feeling farewell when we checked out, we felt like we felt really welcome. Sadly the facilities listed on the Booking.com website as being at the hotel are not (not even a restaurant for an evening meal) - they are available locally (within a couple...

We stayed at the Edgcumbe on Easter weekend...from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left we loved our short stay. The family run hotel is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was yummy and lots to choose from even special requests and hot x buns on Easter Sunday 😊 we were in room 1 which is like a...

Just wanted to say 'thank you' to all at The Edgcumbe. A really friendly, relaxed ambiance combined with a high standard of professionalism and service. It was lovely to have booked a single room and then be offered an upgrade to a whole suite, just because it happened to be empty that evening - *happy*! The toiletries were an added...

The location was fantastic with wonderful views, we were in room 12 which was perfect as you could see the sea from bed! We didn't make it up for breakfast unfortunately but we did sample one of their egg mayo sandwiches and it was divine! Lovely hosts who couldn't have been more accommodating or made us feel more welcome. Thank...

I travelled down to Bude with my grandmother who is 90 years old and stayed at the Edgcumbe Hotel. After speaking with Jo and her sister on the phone a few days prior to our visit, I felt very re assured my gran would be looked after and would enjoy her stay. The staff were exceptional and very welcoming. From...

Just came back from a two night stay at the wonderful Edgcumbe Hotel. This is our second stay, and certainly won't be our last. The owners are so friendly and helpful, they make everyone feel welcome and relaxed and the rooms are large and comfortable with wonderful soft big beds. It's a lovely family run hotel with a real chilled...

I previously attended this hotel for a wake in 2014 but did not stay. I was very impressed with this family run business, the views alone made me want to stay overnight and i booked this year (March 2015) to do just that. I spoke with Emma who recommended Rm 12, for the sea views on two aspects. The room...

I have read with interest all of the recent reviews, one recently commented about the guitar weekends and how good it was. We tried to book at the same time of year and were told that they were booked by the guitar group so we stayed at the Mornish next door. We bumped into Jo during the week and had...

I have stayed here on three occasions now out of season attending a Guitar Playing retreat. Rest assured when the retreats take place, we are the only guests so no one is disturbed. I have been so impressed with the quality, cleanliness and absolutely friendly staff and great service, that this year I am planning to take my family for...
