Excellent camp site run by a great team. Stuart was really helpful on our recent visit. The site is set amidst trees and wildlife with great cycling routes. You could not get closer to nature, birds deer and ponies nearby.

A forest campsite, what more could you want.? Met a lovely lady at reception on arrival at 730pm. ( although the lady on the phone was very brusque/bordering rude) Little disappointed to see that a lot of pitches are taken up with seasonal/year long campers, therefore leaving hardly any room to get a good pitch :( Anyway, we just about...

Stayed for a weekend in September 2016 and loved the peace and quiet. Visit only spoilt by the inexplicable £5 we incurred for family visitors who stayed 1 hour for a cuppa. I only popped into the reception area and asked where the visitor parking was and was told by the irritated receptionist that there was a £3 charge for...

We loved it here, camping literally in the middle of the forest was brilliant, you can walk from the campsite onto many paths & tracks as well as go for short, drives to pubs & restaurants locally, it was fantastic

Just perfect, quiet, tranquil and relaxing. Walks around the site are fabulous and the sea side is close by too. Well spaced pitches surrounded by trees and opening on to the forest. The wardens are welcoming and friendly. Oaken Bottom is lovely if you have dogs, two minutes walk and you are in the open with trails galore. Walking along...

I cannot describe how wonderful this place is, you totally unwind and appreciate the deer and other wonderful wildlife, plants and birds. Children building dens and playing in the streams (found just out of the enclosure). Great pub (Silver Hind a 30min walk and a fab Sunday lunch) and the Hare and Hounds (more family friendly but still good), loads...

If you like sites with a clubhouse and lots of hustle and bustle then this is not the campsite for you. If however you are prepared to forgo facilities (and let's face it, it's not the end of the world to have to empty your own toilet, have a lick and a promise or use a camping shower), then this...

What a lovely place. The pitches are right in the middle of the New Forest and it is literally one step to start walking in the forest. We saw lots of wildlife on this quiet camp site and even had a stag come within 10m of the van and stay for a while, checking us out. Dog friendly with lots...

Booked very last minute for The New Forest and only Setthorns was available which turned out to be a real treat despite the lack of toilets and showers. As a tent camper You can only camp here if you have a portable toilet which they check upon arrival. We camped in Oaken Bottom in one of the few tent pitches...

We recently stayed at Setthorns for 3 nights. upon leaving we were required to leave via the HGV exit due to the bridge being restricted to 5 ton. at 8am we arrived at the HGV exit gate to find it was locked so we walked up to reception only to find it closed until 9.30am however there was an after...
