Travellers' Choice
Like a magical secret, Rhinefield House is located deep within the New Forest National Park. Step inside and the aura of magic simply deepens - and nowhere more spectacularly than in the Alhambra Room, bedecked in glittering jewels. With beautiful surroundings and a blend of Tudor and Gothic architecture, Rhinefield is the most perfect fairytale wedding venue. It is also the ideal setting for an indulgent break and an inspiring conference venue for meetings, team building or product launches. Downtime means the chance to take in the great outdoors we have on our doorstep, whether its pony trekking, long walks in the forest or a day trip to the sea.

I visited today for Afternoon Tea, which whilst okay was certainly not outstanding. The sandwiches were pretty bland, and the cakes were unremarkable, although at least the cheese scones were flavoursome if a little dry for lack of any butter to put on them! The service in the conservatory was however very good, and we were made to feel very welcome. Rhinefield House looks amazing from a distance, but sadly is in need of investment in the grounds which are looking quite unkempt. As a Koi Carp owner I was also dismayed to see the poor water quality afforded to the fish within the hotel’s ponds.

We stayed here last weekend for our daughters wedding on Saturday arriving Friday lunchtime. Our room was an executive room overlooking woodland, it was large, comfortable and had everything we needed. Johns parents hosted a BBQ Friday evening, food was delicious and the setting around the pond lovely. We used the outside pool in the afternoon, it was heated and very clean. The wedding itself went very smoothly after 2 years of planning with Becky. Everything went well and the Heron suite was wonderful for the morning preparations. The whole venue and the grounds makes an ideal setting. The only slight criticism is that it’s difficult for anyone in a wheelchair but it’s an old building and adaptations have been made. It was a manic time on Sunday morning as we were left to clear up and pack everything, there was another wedding on Sunday morning early so we felt very much under pressure, luckily my husband and I were up early! My daughter had a large amount of flowers and we heard several members of staff commenting on the mess.

Mum and I attended rhinefield hotel spa to celebrate our 50th/21st birthday. Not only did the spa accommodate us for two treatments and access to the facilities last minute and with minimal notice, but the service, friendliness and ability to go above and beyond was very much appreciated and did not go unnoticed. The massages and facials were both brilliant and to a wonderful standard- we both left feeling very relaxed and looked after. The staff at the spa also left us two cupcakes and ‘happy birthday to you both’ written on the plate in chocolate sauce. This was waiting for us at pool side after our treatments. These extra touches were wonderful and made us feel very special! The afternoon tea was also very tasty and the server was polite, welcoming and very good at his job! They were all a credit to the hotel! We will definitely be returning.

Wedding 25/08/2021 -Josselyn our wedding organiser at Rhinefield House was so supportive throughout the whole process of organising our big day. All the staff amazing and very attentive - amazing wedding venue, had the best day / evening ever. We stayed the night before and friends came over for dinner, dinning outside - it was a perfect start to the event. Robbie who was our wedding coordinator for the day was amazing, went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt welcome and nothing was to much trouble, service was attentive but not intrusive and made our day as perfect as it should have been. Angel and his team of waiters were great and the food served was outstanding. The whole day was so incredibly well organised and the staff all worked as team with other outside agencies (wedding floral designer - Little lillies and selstar fireworks displays). THANK YOU ALL for making our wedding a fantastic day day to remember - would recommend Rhinefield House for anyone planning their happy day.
