Premier Inn Bideford Hotel stands out for its central location, which guests find convenient for travel and close to local amenities. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives positive remarks, some guests have noticed occasional lapses. The comfortable beds and clean rooms are a highlight, although issues with air conditioning and noise have been flagged.
Service quality appears to vary; some visitors commend the helpful staff, whereas others have encountered less attentive service. Despite these mixed experiences, the hotel remains a well-regarded choice for its convenience and parking facilities.

Used the hotel for Bed and Breakfast only. Rest of time was visiting family who live at Northam who could not provide over night accommodation. Free parking was a bonus and we will use the hotel again. Only one small snag, The bar in Brewers fare closes early and I couldn’t get a alcoholic drink at 2120 hrs.

Good clean accommodation and friendly staff. This is a good location for touring North Devon, the hotel was well maintained and every care was taken to follow COVID guidelines and felt very safe. Could do with a few more drawers in room to put clothes in. And we would expect a hand towel each not just one to share.

We stayed one night, arrived tired and hungry. The room was spotless, warm and pleasant, we put the kettle on and rang reception to find out where we could get an evening meal. There's a pizza takeaway over the road which we used as covid restrictions prevented much else and we got our meal within 20 minutes. Had a great night's sleep undisturbed and checked out with no fuss. Would definitely use again.

I stayed for 2 nights with my partner. Our bed was not made or changed by cleaners which I would expect when paying over £300 for 2 nights stay and the cups/glasses were not changed neither the tea/coffee stand renewed for our second day. We were left with dirty cups and even if we rinsed we then weren’t able to get a drink anyways due to no tea/coffee/sugar left. No towel change nothing! Very disappointed.
If you fancy breakfast save your money and go elsewhere! We paid for breakfast both days and only attended breakfast once due to rude staff in the restraunt. We paid £8.99 the same as walk in customers for breakfast and got treat with ridiculous service and 1 item per order. Staff were rude, without us knowing you had to mention if you wanted more than 1 item per order on your plate my partner is a fussy eater and ordered sausage bacon beans and toast for his UNLIMITED breakfast. He got brought out 1 sausage 1 rashen of bacon and a few beans. I believe this to be absolutely ridiculous. We asked for more as it was such a small portion and we got looked at and spoke to like we had 2 heads. The lady who was working was rude and told us she had not got the order wrong that is what we asked for I explained I know that is what we asked for but that portion size is ridiculous considering it was an unlimited breakfast a child wouldn’t of been satisfied with that amount of food. The plate went back and came back as a full English breakfast however we never asked for this. So the plate went back for a 2nd time and the order was taken for a THIRD time before being right! Due to this service we did not return to the Brewers Fayre across the road for breakfast after we had already pre-paid for it.
I must admit the staff at premier inn did there job no problems on check in and check out and the bed was comfy standard premier inn - you get what you pay for.

Such a shame - great location, reasonably priced, staff very friendly but no opening windows means rooms smell very stale. Found them terrible, could not sleep properly. Air con noisy so left that off. If you have asthma or similar,do not stay here; I felt like I needed to sneeze all the time and had a sore throat each morning. We have stayed before and knew about the windows, but stayed for 3 nights this time and it seemed worse, perhaps because the building is now a little older. Really needed fresh air, almost got dressed in the middle of the night to go outside. Very claustrophobic. Unlikely to ever stay again. For goodness sake Premier Inn, take note and never build another hotel without opening windows.

Great location, 5mins inland from Westward Ho and near Clovelly too. Dominoes, McDs, Starbucks plus a retail park/outlet all next door. Thankfully Aldi & Asda too (we didn’t dine so we were grateful for these). We stayed in family room 202 on the top floor - Nice&spacious, however I found what looked like pubic hair on the bed upon arrival so slept on towels during our stay and was annoyed to find the window did not open! This angered me because knowing some premier inn hotels sometimes have windows like this, I had purposefully looked to see if the Bideford hotel advertised it. It didn’t, hence my disappointment/ anger/surprise. Given we are still in covid times and this was our first hotel stay since the pandemic started, I did not want my family using the heating/air con system. Not being able to open even one window meant our room felt very claustrophobic and hot at times and it really spoilt things for us all. I shouldn’t have to phone a hotel to ask about windows. If guests cannot have natural ventilation then it should be made clear on their website! Looking up from the free car park it appeared that all windows were the same so there was no point in being asked to move rooms. Instead my husband requested a fan for us to try and help cool with that. The friendly gentleman on reception was very accommodating and provided one straight away. Apparently we weren’t the first to not want to use the ventilation system and I’m sure we won’t be the last so Premier Inn really should relook at their windows or provide fans as standard in every room. Unless we can open a window in future, our family will probably think twice about staying. Masks were worn around the hotel (by guests that adhered to the requests anyway) and sanitiser is available on immediate arrival.

I booked 4 nights at the premier Inn in Bideford. I booked through the website and paid extra to cancel up to 1pm on the day of arrival. It worked out at about £105.00 per night.
The check in was quick, smooth and professional. I got into the room and decided to shut the curtains and the net curtain rail came down. It was a retractable rail plastic. I went downstairs and told them it was ok to leave.
The room was clean modern and roomy with a double bed and a sofa bed. the bathroom had bath and shower which was very good.
The one thing which to me was a major let down was the bedroom window did not open. There was a fan in the room which did provide some comfort and also partial air conditioning. The bed was comfortable but obviously I slept without a duvet.
Anybody booking needs to be aware that it is 2 miles from Bideford therefore a car is required. The last bus to the designer outlet is 6.15 pm so its taxi for getting back. I paid £10.00. If you need somewhere closer for a similar price try The Royal or Durrant.
Because of Covid restrictions the cleaners could not attend but we were able to get replacement towels.
For the price I paid I would have wanted breakfast in the deal.

Only stayed for 2 nights as worrying about Coronavirus as my husband and I are both vulnerable. However, Premier Inn had worked hard to ensure guest safety . Everything was spotless with plenty of sanitiser available and If you needed any extras just ask at reception and it will be delivered to your door. The Bideford hotel was excellently located first us to have a good look around the area.

We often stay at Premier Inn while on holiday and chose this one for it’s convenient location (close to Bideford) and amenities.
Within easy walking distance there are 2 supermarkets, a McDonald’s, Starbucks and takeaway Pizza. There is also a Brewers Farye.
On arrival the staff were polite and helpful. I’ve noticed that some people have said they were rude but I didn’t notice this at all. I also went down several times during our stay to ask for things like extra pillows or tea and they were always more than happy to oblige and always did so quickly.
The room we were given was pleasant and clean. All the amenities worked as expected and seemed in good repair. I couldn’t fault it.
As others have mentioned, the windows do not open. On the bright side I didn’t hear so much as a peep from outside during our whole stay.
I can’t say the same for the air conditioning which makes a weird bubbly noise whenever you turn it on. It’s ok during the day but I found it distracting at night. I seemed to be the only one though as the rest of my family slept like logs! Haha!
We did have problems with noise from the room above us though. We could hear every step very loudly. I assume judging by the noise that there was a small pack of elephants in the room above... but it may have just been children.
Despite these minor inconveniences we had a lovely time here and will definitely use the hotel again next time we visit the area.

Newly built and situated very close to Asda, MacDonalds and Starbucks with a brewers Fayre in the same car park. Upon check in I was greeted by the pleasant yulia, not sure if the still offer the good night guarantee as she never asked or explained it?! Room was clean and tidy however the windows do not open, a personal preference of mine is I like fresh air but this wasn’t stated on their website. They use an air conditioning to provide fresh air but it’s also very noisy, and previous guests have damaged the control pad, as I write this it’s now 5:04am so not the best night sleep. One way system in reception is in place for C-19 but confusing and doesn’t really work. Face masks must be worn signs and hand sanitiser station dotted about.
Not a good night sleep guaranteed I’m afraid.

If you sign back into Premier Inns website you can usually update your booking provided you have not booked via the non flex option. Hope this helps.

Sorry about delay- not really sure, I think you would need to inquire with the hotel
Is the premier inn on a bus route, for local attractions (coast) etc or will I need to take the car?
Is there a local bus stop nearby for us to use bus passes please?
