After travelling down country lanes which felt like 20 miles when in fact was only about 5 miles from the main road. We reached after ending upòn going down a long very steep hill this fantastic hotel. The views across the sea were spectacular. We were exploring the area and could not have ended up in a better place for... More

We visited Hartland Quay last week whilst the weather was good and it is a truly fantastic place. The views are incredible, the drive (or walk) down is beautiful and having somewhere to get a drink or a meal is a real bonus when on such a rugged coast. The Hartland Quay Hotel is a quaint, rugged building full of... More

Local pub in great surroundings which offers good pub food and a choice of local beers and ales. Friendly staff help make the meal enjoyable. Can be crowded at times but plenty of tables outside if the weather is good.

Lovely spot right on the coast and coast path. Really nice pub food very filling and tasty. Hotel is a little tired decor wise but clean and tidy and a good hearty breakfast in the morning to see us on our way

A must see destination for any visitor. Like stepping back in time 200 years to see the real old Devon. The hotel is quaint. The people very friendly. The food tasty, traditional and filling at a good price. Best of all is the view of the coast. Stay overnight if you can to see the sun set and rise.

We were staying nearby in a holiday cottage so had looked for somewhere for dinner one night. I liked the look of the location and it is right on the seafront. It has the feel of a real local pub but everyone is very friendly. The food won't win any awards but is perfectly good pub grub. Definitely worth a... More

Stayed at the hotel for the forth time whilst attending the October NHCA motorcycle hill climb. Fantastic atmosphere. This event has been happening here twice a year for nearly 40years and marks the start and end of the hill climb season for this club. The owners and staff are extremely attentive. Food is good. Rooms very comfortable and most with... More

If you want a dramatic yet restful stay, you will not be disappointed with this hotel. We booked in advance as we were touring the coastline. When we rocked up it was fabulous weather with the surf crashing against the quay so we wandered around the seafront and took a hike over the cliffs, walking as near to the point... More

We were staying in a local holiday cottage and visited Hartland Quay Hotel twice, we went back a second time because the food and service was so good. The location is like no other we have visited sitting below spectacular cliffs it is almost in the surf. It is a magical place and it was hard to tear ourselves away.... More

Best location if you are walking the SW coast, as it is literally on the path, being at one time a coast guard station. Room was clean, modern and tidy, with everything you would expect. We were situated over the bar, which did mean we got wi-fi. They only provide wi-fi in the bar, so those rooms at the other... More
