Me and my wife had our wedding reception at the pub on July 31st this year. Everything Zoe and Ian and their staff did for us was totally faultless. We had a roast dinner for our sit down meal followed by chocolate brownie. All our guests said it was the best roast dinner they had eaten at a pub, it...

Have been before but this time we booked in advance and glad we did as this is a very popular village pub. They really know how to keep their customers happy and well fed with well cooked tasty dishes at a reasonable cost. It's been quite a while since we were last here ,but standards are just as good if...

Fantastic place to stay and great food. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and very clean. Ian and Zoe who run the place are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The menu is varied and they have a specials board as well. The desserts are delicious. Locals are friendly too.

Just been to this pub for a meal and what can I say - the food was amazing, beautifully presented and plenty of it. I had the Champagne and Mushroom Risotto and my husband had the Gammon. We were both incredibly impressed with our choices. We didn't really have room for pudding but we had one anyway - the Summer...

We've spent a couple of nights here using this as a base while at the jazz and blues festival at nearby Burton Agnes - like several others. The pub's an attractive one and it's a shame we didn't get to spend much time in it, especially as we know it's got a bit of a reputation now as a gastro-pub....

We went as a party of 8, there is a good selection of food and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very well presented, tasty and served as a good yorkshire portion! The bitesize desserts are lovely and manageable if you have a sweet tooth but are quute full from the mains!

If you want to stay in a real old English pub that serves excellent food, real ales with a great atmosphere ...look no further. Stopped here for two nights on the way to a motorbike event so safe parking was essential. The room was excellent and the full English breakfast outstanding. The meals are superior to normal pub food and...

We all enjoyed our meals, most of the dishes were very generous portions so much so that no-one had room for one of the very tempting desserts. Good service and very welcoming. We had heard good reports so had decided to venture out to Harpham to give it a try

We have been to this lovely country pub a few times for Sunday Lunch. The landlord and staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The food always exceptional. I would happily recommend. The meal is all home cooked with proper Yorkshires and great meat, some great alternatives like pigeon are available too. Puddings are lovely too.
