Stayed here for a long weekend with a coach trip. The rooms were tired and needed some maintenance. The corridors were very uneven. The woman on the reception was very pleasant and helpful. The food was awful, served in the dining room like a school cafeteria. All the food was processed frozen and of the lowest standard and cheapest they...

Choir coach trip of some 52 people. Dinner diabolical. Staff very rude when trying to obtain a table for 6 people. Just argued and then almost threw the cutlery on the table. Soup nearly cold. Main meal of poor quality and the vegetables were luke warm. Dessert of Xmas pudding and custard was served in a bowl that was totally...

Long queues at set times for meals which were of a poor quality and disgusting . Hotel mainly for older generation however very little attention was given to their needs. After day 1, the only use...

Our room was very nice, on the 1st. floor overlooking the sea, with two floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom was nicely decorated. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially in the dining room. Meals had to be ordered in the morning for dinner and in the evening for breakfast. Dinner was OK with plenty of food and the...

Hotel satisfactory, could not rate it good, advert says lifts to all floors, but the Hotel is obviously several original houses knocked together, so level changes in corridors, our room needed ten steps even when using lift, which could be a problem with guests with limited mobility, we had several of those in our party. Food reasonable, could not rate...

Typical esplanade hotel with lovely views of the beach and sea at the front and back street views at the back. Clean and tidy if a little tired, but this is an old property and must be difficult to keep in perfect condition. Staff were helpful all through the stay. Food was basic but well cooked and sufficient.Breakfast was plated and...
