This is the first time, in 36 reviews, that I've actually felt compelled to warn others off staying in a hotel. I know what it is like to read a 'moaning trip advisor review' (yes I've seen those too) but if you look at my other reviews you will see that I'm normally not a moaner, and often say 'ah...

My girlfriend and I were in Weymouth for two nights; One exquiste night at Moonfleet Manor hotel, and an equally lovely night here at the Riviera. I work in a Travelodge, so I'm very familar with Tripadvisor and its ability to give people awful impressions of a place, before they even get to the hotel and then the hotel turning...

We arrived at night and the hotel looks great from a distance and seams somewhat nostalgic. As many others have commented on, it has been recently renovated but it doesn't feel that it was done to the highest quality. The rooms are small, bed is not the most comfy and it had a dreadful chemical smell, the bedroom is already...

This hotel is on the eastern side of Weymouth known locally as Bowleaze Cove. The unusual front is long and low and spreads out from a central pillar, which houses the reception area. The hotel is open to the public for many functions and events. Available for for private hire weddings etc. The hotel has a pleasant dining room three...

First views can be deceiving and driving up to this art deco building did have us laughing in the car and not know what to expect when we got to our rooms. We didn't need to worry as the refurbishment has been done very well the rooms are delightful. The position is fantastic and views outstanding. We ate in the...

My husband and I had a two night stay at this hotel on 4th/5th November. First impression of this big imposing hotel was shabby, run down and in desperate need of some urgent TLC. On arrival our room wasn't ready so we went into the restaurant for some lunch. There were no staff behind the bar or anywhere else The...

Stayed 2 nights. The building is a wonderful grade 2 listed Art Deco building. While I appreciate the restrictions grade 2 buildings bring it needs to move away from its pontins days. They may have spent 4m but it needs greater investment. Soundproof the rooms would help, having the excruciating experience of your neighbouring room couple having sex is just...

This hotel is a former Pontins Holiday venue. On arrival, we were disappointed with the hotel as the exterior paintwork is very shabby as are the gardens. We asked to see our room before we were prepared to check in and were pleasantly surprised. The room and en-suite bathroom had been recently refurbished and were very well equipped with tea/coffee...

Such a disappointment at such an amazing location. If only a bit (a lot) of TLC and some better trained/prepared staff. The room An effort to decorate has been made but a more full on facelift is needed. The room I stayed in smelled really unpleasant. It was pretty clean but there were black hairs on the pillow (I'm blonde)....

I recently stayed 3 days here. The staff I encountered and directly had contact with, were polite and hard working, some going the extra mile. Food was average ,Reception plus Waiting staff/bar staff worked hard. Location is fantastic, great views across the bay, BUT -- the OWNERS ARE LETTING THIS PLACE DOWN -- BY NOT SPENDING MONEY ON IT. It...
