The Premier Inn Newcastle Under Lyme hotel garners compliments for its exceptional service and spotless facilities, with numerous travelers highlighting the comfort of the pristine rooms. While the overall atmosphere is praised for its coziness, particularly the plush beds, some guests suggest there's room to enhance the temperature control for a more pleasant stay.
The value of the hotel is occasionally questioned, although meal deals are often recognized as a redeeming factor. Amenities generally meet expectations, yet improvements in Wi-Fi strength and in-room provisions could elevate the guest experience.

We were pleased by the high standards at this Premier Inn. The room rate is very reasonable for a double room & the breakfast next door was very tasty with lots of choice. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Would recommend this hotel.

Premier Inn hotels offer fantastic value for money if booked ahead. This one benefits from ample free parking to front and back of building, nicely refurbished rooms with good lighting and television. The free WiFi is slow (barely enough for email), but the upgraded WiFi (chargeable) isn’t badly priced and fixes the problem fairly well. There’s not much within walking distance but plenty of food options within a short drive. I’d stay again.

My daughter and I were travelling across the country to look at universities and, having driven 300 miles, we had been fleeced at every service station and needed good value and a good nights sleep. The hotel was easy to find, the check in staff were adorable, the room (128) was on the first floor and as far away from the lift as it was possible to be, so nice and quiet. We had a twin room which had a double and a single, lots of space, a small wardrobe area, desk etc, window overlooking the car park but no noise. Bed linen was good quality and clean. Bathroom had a full sized bath, fluffy towels and everything very clean and tidy. Check out super-easy - for £49 I can’t fault it!

I understand this hotel does not have air conditioning (before Premier Inn leave their generic reply) but we spent a very uncomfortable night in an unbearably hot room! I have been abroad in peak season without air con and not experienced heat like this, at 1am the room was 27.5* and we were all feeling like we couldn’t breathe and dizzy, although it looks like Premier Inn have been aware of this issue for many years looking back on reviews (yes I wish I had of read the reviews before booking as I certainly would of booked somewhere else). We booked one night before travelling to Alton Towers but due to not being able to sleep we had two very tired and irritable children the next morning when we had booked this hotel for a nice relaxing early night before the early start the next day. Also I was informed less than 24hr before our stay that the restaurant was going to be shut, which I presumed could not be avoided and was a last minute closure as per the email I received. When we arrived the restaurant has been shut for a couple of month so why they only told us the day before is not acceptable. The hotel is quite remote and you will have to travel to find somewhere else to eat. I always book premier inn as the I know we will be arriving to friendly staff and a clean hotel which we got but unfortunately it was booked as a room to sleep in for an early night to be rested for the next day and that we did not get. The location would have been brilliant if the restaurant would have been open and we didn’t have to leave to spend an hour trying to find somewhere to eat. Also ask for top floor as you can hear everything if someone is above you. We visit Alton Towers a lot but will not be staying at this Premier Inn again and will be sticking with other ones in the area.

We stayed here in 2018 and I had a one word review for this Premier Inn, which was excellent. Not this time. We paid over £100 for the room and we arrived just after 1 am in the morning after a long journey. My wife had a broken ankle and was on crutches. We were in a room at the very end of a long corridor on an upper floor.
We had an early start, so I took a shower at 6 am and when my wife went to get a shower, we noticed there was only one set of towels in the room. It would have taken her too long to get down to reception and pick up the towels so I got ready and my wife freshened up and use my hand towel. We let the receptionist know, she said she’d make a note of this.
I emailed Premier Inn and explained the situation, they came back to me and said they would make a note for the staff so I didn’t happen in the future.
So I paid over £100 for a room for six hours that was baking hot when we arrived (There was a fan that was switched off) and my wife couldn’t get a shower for the onward journey because there was only one set of towels. Poor service, poor value for money, a disappointment to say the least!

Great hotel to spend couple of night visting relatives in the area. Suprised to be told by the night staff they ran out of loo rolls and there were none available. At the end drove to the other side of town to find a convenient store still open at 11pm to purchase my own supply of toilet paper.
Lesson for anyone visit this hotel is to bring your own toilet paper in case the hotel "ran out"

The hotel was really clean. Staff were very polite & professional & the cleaners even gave extra tea bags, milk & sugar in the room when requested.
The food in The Brewers inn was Bea& Izzy, the young waitress was brilliant: she went the extra mile & went & brought oat Cakes when I asked. Amazing.

This Premier Inn is really only accessible by car, but close to the M6 motorway for anyone completing a long journey.
My Wife and I were given a room on the ground floor, Room 5 near the main entrance. Our room was a disabled room spacious, well-appointed, clean and had a great bed, but had to put up with noise from guests arriving, leaving and There were unruly kids running up and down corridors after 11pm keeping everyone awake shouting at times of the day and night not suitable, NOT funny when you are trying to sleep at 5.30 - 6.00am. The Premier Inn itself were fine, staff lovely as they always are and very apologetic BUT!
We ate in the Brewers Fayre attached and wish we hadn’t bothered and found somewhere else to go. Very limited menu on the day hadn’t got quite a lot of the items offered and needed. We feel quite a poor offering and probably wouldn't return.

We had two rooms booked for our stay and each room was left a thoughtful gesture. Our room was an absolute bargain so we certainly didn’t expect such a personal touch, what a lovely surprise. The staff were really friendly , we would happily go again.

I always stay in various Premier Inns around the UK and they’re always good but can be pricey. The prices here though are good and they have free on site parking. The staff were nice and friendly too. It is a bit remote but that’s reflected in the price. Great

No idea. We didn't eat there- didn't like the look of the restaurant although the hotel itself is lovely - and it's staff are too.
