Gorgeous boutique hotel we stayed in the luxurious seduction suite. Stunning. We had breakfast delivered to our room in the morning and the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. The bathroom had a bath perfect for 2 and a large shower with under floor heating. We can't wait to return. Thanks for a perfect visit. The spa at the lakes was an added bonus we had booked when this was included however I would be happy to pay the 15pp charge. Pornstar martinis by the pool! Bliss.

Myself and my partner got married on New years Eve 2021 - and for our mini moon my husband booked us 2 nights in the 'Opulence Suit' - it was beautiful, fabulous location and they had even put petals on the bed for us - which was a lovely touch; the fridge was stocked with goodies and it was clean and very romantic. However, i did have an interaction with a staff member; - that wasn't great and felt quite disheartened afterwards - especially since we paid a small fortune for the two nights. With all that being said; we did have a lovely time overall and it is such a beautiful part of the country - if you are looking for the best fish and chips around; the flying pig - i would give 10/10 and the Fizzy Tarte - unreal.

Thank you for spreading some kindness Sophie and we are really happy that you enjoyed your stay at The Cranleigh. We are a small family firm and as company policy we decided to not respond to reviews publicly but instead prefer a more personal approach should you wish to expand on your experience in our venue, we have all missed that personal touch right? So feel free to contact the operations director by email at david.h@hargreavesenterprises.com, leave your contact details and number and David will give you a call at a convenient time to you The ongoing pandemic has forced and brought about many operational changes as we adapt to a new normal including a mass shortage of hospitality workers throughout the UK as many left the industry leaving most venues you visit short-staffed. A company policy we are extremely passionate about is to try and protect the mental well being of our staff, negative reviews on websites have a huge mental impact on the wellbeing of our staff, especially when staff members are described in the reviews, this is why we started the #bekind to hospitality movement Many of our staff may be in training or new to the industry. Mistakes do happen occasionally and we believe in asking our customers to communicate any issues at the time, giving the team a chance to rectify any issues rather than our staff reading about them after the event. Positive feedback is proven to boost staff morale which encourages personal growth, happiness and less stress in their lives. Constructive feedback we need to improve and iron out any recurring issues that help us improve your stay with us Please think about the impact your words have on people and be kind and together help us address mental health and personal growth. We thank you again for your review and your stay and hope to see you again someday at the Cranleigh Hargreaves family

Had a nice 1 night stay in room 16, location of the hotel is great for exploring and so easy to walk to town. Room was ready early and reception called so we could check in early which was nice. Room was nice, little smaller then appeared on website. Clean room and nice comfy bed. Breakfast was nice. Free on site parking. Would stay again.

Well what can I say, I booked for our second visit to the Cranleigh for New year, I booked a different room than last time. Superior room 2. Had a lovely walk round Bowness and checked in and got ready for our evening out before returning and having a drink at reception and got talking to the lovely Joanna. We stated that our room was lovely but smaller than the one we had stayed in last time, and that we were staying two nights….she informed us that the “Seduction SUITE” had been cancelled and we could move to that room and offered help to move us there, this was at 23.15! Omg….what a delight when we got there, amazing, amazing, amazing…..book this suite if you can, breakfast both mornings in our room, double shower, dressing room, view of the lake, just perfect, what a way to start off 2022….we will be back for another visit, well done Team Cranleigh and Joanna, fantastic.
