Had another wonderful stay at the Fairfield, Tony and Liz are great hosts. The penthouse suite is fabulous, the super king bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom facilities are fantastic especially the walk in rain shower, loved it!! Breakfast was lovely. The hotel is in a great position as it's only a stone throw away from the centre of...

Booked last minute, warm welcome, close to bars, restaurants and amenities. Breakfast was lovely, rooms are nice and the one I stayed in had a four poster bed, view of the garden and a full bath with a really powerful shower. It is a good base to use to explore the area. They offer packed lunches for walkers and I...

Thank you. We are fortunate to be perhaps the only accomodation in the area that has car parking for all guests and within our own grounds.

We have enjoyed a great weekend staying in the penthouse. A really unique room that feels luxurious and really private at the top of the house. Comfy bed, amazing shower and really friendly hosting from Tony and Liz. We were lucky to be able to check out of our room later than usual which made for a perfect last lazy...

Lovely guesthouse. Rooms extremely comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom very luxurious. Communal areas fabulous. Dining room and breakfast superb. All staff and owners very friendly and welcoming. Perfect location within easy walking distance to lake Windermere and local amenities. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband had a look at the deluxe room and the penthouse room. Both looked great and we decided on the penthouse. It had a superking bed which was very comfy but the pillows and quilt were flat. An investment of good feather pillows and a new quilt needed. There was a lot of nice features in the room ,...

Hmm thanks for the feedback. I checked the surround sound and it did work for the TV for me, maybe a little bit more instruction would have helped where there are technical bits. I'll rememember that. Safe journey home. Tony.

What a treat!! Fairfield house is beautiful! We visited in October for my birthday, I love Bowness so this was a great find, a stones throw from all the action. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for you! Will definetly be back, not only for the gorgeous breakfast but for the luxurious spa bath too!!

Nice Guest House that's dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in bedrooms and in the sitting room - which is advertised as having a welcoming open fire, however this was not lit on either of the evenings we stayed there (a Friday and Saturday in February) which was disappointing. There is a dog sitting service advertised but we didn't use it...

Hello and thank you for your comments. It is true we don't always have the fire running, but you can always just ask if you want it. May be next time? :-)

Tony and Liz are wonderful hosts, we really enjoyed our stay there. The garden is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the breakfast was really great! The location is really quiet and peaceful even though the town is just a short walk away.

We have spent 3 nights at this bed and breakfast. We were shocked at the size of the room for the money ( which was taken from my master card a week before our arrival) The owner demanded to know when we were arriving(check in 14.00 until 21.00We stated between 15.00 and 16.00 and when we arrived he was not there....

Oh dear, sorry we did not come up to your standard. just one small correction - we always ask for an arrival time as it helps us to plan the day. We have never, and we would never make a "demand" of it. Thank you.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay in the Lakes and found the hotel a great place to stay, Although it is situated on a steep hill, it only takes a few minutes to be in the middle of Bowness. It was perfect for our stay. The hotel has parking which is an added advantage. The room...
