My wife and I enjoyed a great stop in Windermere on our way south. Whatever the weather, a great spot to relax. Cosy room and particularly impressed by food - the Chef has a real flair and understanding of flavours. Well trained team are engaging, friendly and authentic. Great spot to explore this part of the Lake District. A perfect... More

My wife and I had an evening meal at this Hotel as a birthday treat. Our first impression of the hotel is impressive with great surrounds and beautiful decors. Service was excellent and couldn’t fault any of the servicing staff. Dining experience was one of the best we’ve had but it did come with a price (£58 per head). Our... More

A really amazing hotel with fantastic food and outstanding service. The rooms were great and really well equipped, especially the fresh milk in the mini fridge. We can't praise it highly enough and will be back.

First i would like to start by saying that we had a lovely 4 night stay in this super hotel and loved it. We had driven for about 6 hours to get to the hotel, it was really nice to receive a call from the hotel reception to explain some of the trafic details around the hotel while we were... More

We stayed 4 nights at Linthwaite and found it to be a nice relaxing place to stay during a long road trip. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and the helpful staff, along with the beautiful garden setting. Our room overlooked the garden and was large and well fitted out, only the very squeaky floor detracted (but it's an old building... More

With an amazing view over Windermere. Cosy rooms, log burning fires, wonderful service. The food is excellent and is always packed with locals which is a good sign. They have plenty to offer space for the dog to roam. Shame there is not one sitting room that she is allowed in. Fully recommend though.

We live 20 minutes from Linthwaite House and have enjoyed afternoon tea here on a number of occasions so we chose to dine here with my wife's parents for our wedding anniversary meal last night. You can see Windermere Lake from the terrace of this hotel. The view is... I don't know how to say, just so beautiful. If the weather is good, sunset is extremely beautiful.
