Visited bowness and stayed I this charming hotel for 2 nights with friends. We stayed in the Bay and our friends stayed in the Mews deluxe rooms, a cottage in the grounds divided into 2 separate rooms. Both rooms large very comfortable beds with good quality linen sheets. Two parking spaces out front. Bathroom had a bath and shower, heated underfloor heating ( for the winter) and a heated towel rail. Wardrobe had plenty of hangers and shelves. Complimentary bottle of water and tea and coffee facilities with free biscuits. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings aiding to a good nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and no extra charge. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open for dinner on our visit. Bowness Marina was a 5 minute walk away as we're the shops. Staff very friendly and efficient nothing was to much trouble. A wonderful gem in this part of the country. Will be back and would definitely recommend.

Overall pur stay was ok. Plus side the room was fab. Breakfast was really good but couldnt understand why we only got jam and maramalde on the last day?! Negatives we arrived at 6.30pm and wasked if we could book an evening meal and were told that there was no more availability amd that we should book early. We were then shown were to park and this was on a dark and wintry night but then then the next day we queried why was there was a car blocking us in we were told we should have parked further forward perhaps some white lines might help the guests! Staff are very pleasant and the room was clean.

Thank you for your feedback, and apologies for the confusion over parking, we are running on limited availability in the restaurant as most are in the village at this time.

We were lucky enough to have a couple of wonderful nights at this beautiful hotel. It had been many years since we last visited when the children were small. Now they are adults and we decided to go back just us. Our great memory was not disappointed. The hotel is just the right size to give you attention that makes you feel special. We stayed in a chalet family room which for the two of us gave great space and was very comfortable and had the bonus of looking onto the garden. The food was delicious, piping hot and so flavoursome. But as others have mention it is the staff that make it. Special mention to Melissa and Matthew for their care and attention. We can’t wait to go back and make it a regular trip.
