The Burn How is tucked away within a few minutes walk from Windermere but is an absolute gem, from the friendly welcome at reception to the chalet style room- the place was great. Bed was so comfortable that I cant review the breakfast because I didn't want to get out of it! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

Stayed at the Burnhow for 2 nights. We had a lovely twin room with very comfortable beds. Very pretty building with lovely gardens which you look out to when dining . Fantastic location very close to all bars restaurants and shops in Bowness. Uphill walk to hotel good to keep you fit. Good variety at breakfast.

We spent two nights in this charming hotel, wish we'd booked for longer. The rooms are arranged rather like chalets (though they're stone-built), with their own entrance, patio and parking space. So you have complete privacy and quiet, but are close to the main house where meals are served. Breakfasts are terrific, with masses of choice (though the croissants were...

We stayed for 2 nights. We have stayed in various hotels in Bowness and this was but far the best. All the staff were so welcoming and couldn't have done anymore to make our stay so perfect. We stayed in a chalet which was spotlessly clean and decor superb. The dining room was lovely overlooking beautiful gardens and our Cumbrian breakfast was delicious.Location was...

We stayed at this hotel again - second time in a few months. It is a lovely hotel, great staff and fantastic breakfast. There is only one thing wrong - it's too hot. The radiators in our room were absolutely boiling. I turned everything down as soon as we got there. I also noticed the dining room was also boiling....

Thank you for your comments, The heating in the rooms are normally on low for the guest to turn up as required. In the dining room the heaters are turned off once the room is thoroughly heated through, but we do have guests that feel the cold so we try to strike a happy medium

We stayed here for the first time recently and we enjoyed it. It is in a great location and the staff were very nice and friendly. I had Eggs Benedict for Breakfast which was delicious. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5* was that the rooms are looking slightly tired but we will definitely be returning :)

We had the opportunity to have a baby free night away and booked to stay here. The hotel is in a great location 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bowness but very peaceful. Our room was maybe in need of decoration and the bed seemed really small, maybe I'm too used to my king size bed back home it...

Stayed here with husband and four year old daughter for two nights. This hotel is a little gem. Different sort of hotel as rooms are chalets but we loved it. Room had a double bed and a single. Room had loads of light and a balcony. 5 minute walk into centre of Bowness. Breakfast was excellent. Food in restaurant was...

Stayed with family in a garden lodge room. Although the room was a little dated (not too dated mind) very clean and well appointed. Very good side with double, single and bunk beds. Bathroom very new and great. Lovely traditional hotel with good breakfast. Couple of minutes walk from town. Based in prices in area though it was very good...
