We returned a few days ago from a wonderful 3 nights, staying in the lake suite, Kingfisher. A much needed break from the January gloom to find a stunning hotel, a beautiful suite, fabulous staff, wonderful food, with every possible need thought of. The breakfast hamper (a real treat with a good selection - we had something different each day) was superb. All of the food was delicious, a little different and lots of choice. The restaurant team were perfect, very slick and professional but so friendly too. Special shout out to Karl (Mark 😂🤦‍♀️) who was a joy. I’ve ordered him a new name badge - I’ll bring it for him next time! We have already booked for New Year, bringing my sister and husband too. It’s a very special place. Thank you Mandy Webster.

I have stayed here a number of times and the service, amenities and food are always amazing. First time staying in a Lakeside Suite this time (Mallard) and was blown away by the quality and attention to detail. The hot tub was incredible with a view over the lake! As always, food, drinks and service of staff at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Always an exquisite menu and the staff cannot do enough. Can’t wait to visit again very soon!

Room Tip: Lakeside suites don’t come cheap but are well worth the money! Especially having breakfast served...

We treated ourselves to a three night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the time we arrived to the time we left we were immersed in a very special atmosphere. We had one of the chalets just a small way from the Main house. It was utter luxury and right on the lake itself! My only criticism is the fact that because of the ultra modern design there was no way to get a basin full of water to shave!.. In all the years I've stayed in hotels this is the first time I've ever come across that!.. still it's only a minor point in the grand scheme of things. We ate in the hotel restaurant and have to say it was extremely high quality. I'd certainly class it as fine dining and the service was second to none. This is indeed a wonderful hotel and worthy of the many accolades it has been given. We would not hesitate to stay here again. I'd say it's the best hotel in the Lake District!

We spent a lovely weekend celebrating New Year at the hotel. It was our first visit but won’t be our last. The staff worked so hard to ensure everyone had a really good time. The hotel is in a stunning lakeside setting and we loved the understated grandeur of the place.

We stayed for the New Year weekend and it was a fantastic experience. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is the best we’ve ever experienced and we’ve been lucky to stay at the best hotels in the world.
