Went in for a few drinks. As soon as we went in we met a nice couple had a good chat. The barmaid with the pink hair was fantastic she was so quick. The owner was telling us jokes really nice people. I would recommend this pub for food to had a lovely beef sandwich with fries

This hotel/bar is a bit tucked away, but well worth finding. I only had a snack lunch here but it was excellent. Their roast beef sandwiches are great. This pub has a lovely log burning fire which give it a great feel . the staff are also very nice

Budget pub accommodation , cheap and pleasant. Yes it’s not 5* so you pay for what you get. The breakfast was lovely and if you stayed in the hotel you get 10% discount on drinks in the bar. The only minor complaint was that the room was cold despite having a radiator and heater

Came in here to watch the football and had a bite to eat, steak and ale pie was one of the best I’ve had from a pub in a while and the portion size was great! Well priced and cozy! Would definitely recommend for a drink and a bite to eat!

Don't think that there is a rule as long as they are well behaved and not screaming etc

I'm sorry to hear that, we only had breakfast here as we are not drinkers, the only thing I can think of is that health and safety is paramount in this instance.

I was having my night out after work with my friends on 24th June when we decided to pop to Stags downstairs. The atmosphere was excellent, as ever, however this time something disturbing happened. I went to the bar downstairs on our arrival and wanted to order couple of drinks for my friends. As I approached the bar a petit, ponytailed black haired barmaid asked my what I was after. I said my order and then other of my friends joined as. I moved about 2 meters towards just to ask what did he want to drink which took me literally couple of seconds. When I turned back to the bar reaction of barmaid was at least shocking. She shouted at me never ever to leave the bar whilst ordering drinks. I tried to explain one more of my mates had just turned up, but then she interrupted me shouting even louder and pointing her finger straight to my face 'No, Listen! You have to stay here! ...etc...'. I've been frequent customer of Stags Heads for the last more than 10 years and nothing like that that had happened to me yet. Last week when we returned to the same bar with my other mate situation wasn't much better. We've been waiting on the bar to be serviced for about 20 minutes (!). People who came much after us were serviced whilst we were completely ignored. At this point big credit for not too tall barman with black short hair and beard. Only he turned up he serviced me instantly. Two other barmen turned out to be complete ignorant even thou I was trying to talk to them several times before the other, nice barman turned up. I'd like to ask a question if that is a usual routine of treating guests unpleasantly for some time? If yes, thank you for letting me know it, so me and my friends will choose other location for our following night out. Thank you.
Hi- I'm just a fellow guest who has left a review- I think you have emailed this to the wrong person! Thanks Lisa
