Pubs in Barrow are mainly for evening drinkers with no food. Wedderspoons is a bit of a children's playground and the Italian provides rather more that with which you can cope. In view of this Jeffersons is a bit of a find. Although the decor is a bit stark and high chairs are to the forefront, you get a welcome... More

The Jefferson hotel was not bad! The staff were nice the room was clean. They had attempted to bring the room decor up to date but the finish was not of a high standard and it still felt like I was in shoe box. I would say if you are a couple the rooms might be a bit small as... More

Thanks for your review. All of our rooms have recently been redecorated and and are maintained on a weekly basis and as such I don't understand your comment of "the finish was not of a high standard" not something I've ever heard before. Our breakfast offer is included in the room price and includes 10+ cereals fresh fruit, muffins, croissants,... More

I stayed here for a few nights on business. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable, great nights sleep. The food is excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The lack of a car park is not an issue as there is a big car park next to the town hall... More

My Husband and I booked last minute into this hotel whilst visiting the Lake District on the 30th July 2016. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the Staff couldn't have been more helpful. This is definitely a place I would return to when in the area as the food was good, the only drawback is that there is no on-site... More

Sundays dinner was good but the chicken burger on Monday was huge and would have fed both of us not the cheapest place but good value for money easy parking outside 3hr limited waiting bays and it was easy to find.

Excellent clean and tidy hotel. Very welcoming staff (family run). Only stayed the one night but would happily stay again if in the area. It's places like this that prove it's worth not just picking the chains every time! Only ate breakfast which was fine with plenty of choice so can't really comment on food much, although if I were... Would highly recommend this hotel, lovely room to a high quality standard considering its only a 3* hotel. And the bar is a lovely place to relax with great food with great prices. Also the staff are lovely very respectful and helpful. Wouldn't think twice about rebooking, definitely a happy customer

Stayed in Jefferson's for a week. It's a good place to stay for a couple of nights if you are going to be out and about all day. It's not such a convenient place to stay if you have a long stay (for e.g. for a week). Plus points: - Room was clean on arrival. - Kelly - from reception... More

Thanks for your review. This is the first review we have received with a rating of less than 4/5 for a significant period of time and as such I will respond. All of our rooms are serviced daily unless the guests tell our chambermaids that nothing is required. To have "dust and hair" everywhere from 3 x days prior when... More

Myself and my fiancee were looking for somewhere to just get away from it all when we came across Jefferson's. We booked up and I'm so pleased we did!! The staff are very friendly, the manager showed us to our room explaining everything from Wi-Fi passwords to breakfast times. Our room was beautifully decorated, and very spacious. The bathroom is... What a great place. The room was clean, and we'll set out, the shower was hot with plenty of pressure. The staff were really friendly, the beer in the pub attached was great and breakfast was excellent. I would recommend staying here and will definitely stay again myself. Thanks.
